Sometimes it can be difficult not to see church as another storefront with a product to sell.

Cultural  consumerism can convince us that spirituality is a service that you pick up locally like you would groceries or socks. If you don’t like what they’re offering here, don’t worry. There’s another place down the street offering the same goods in a more appealing package.
