COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Heb 13:5).

There is a saying that “a harvest of peace is produced from a seed of contentment.” Sometimes we forget our own blessings and think of what others have. This leads many to fall into temptations, bitterness and being ungrateful to God. Brethren, avoid counting people’s blessing, count your own blessing and you will notice that even though you are not a millionaire, you have what millions cannot buy.

Don’t compare yourself to others, for life is not a competition. The lion is the king of the jungle and the eagle is the king in the air, just stay in your lane. The fact that you are not that person doesn’t make you inferior. The fact that your mates are succeeding doesn’t mean you are a failure, we all have different calendars of success.

Not everyone you see busy is doing something meaningful, many are running nowhere. Cast your gaze from others and count your own blessings. Don’t let the success of others pressurize you, don’t let someone’s testimony disturb your peace, don’t feel frustrated because others are ahead of you. For a happy life is not about getting everything you want but enjoying everything you have. If you can’t enjoy the little you have, you won’t be satisfied when you have the whole world. Therefore count your blessings, be thankful to God for what you have and that will uplift you to a higher altitude. God bless you!
