What is the argument for Jesus having two natures in one person?

The Bible. Not being sarcastic. It’s very clear in Scripture that those who deny Jesus has dual nature are considered antichrists.

A better question is how can he only have 1 nature given what’s written in the Bible? If you believe he only has one nature you either deny his deity, or you deny his humanity. Both of which are demonstrated in the Gospels.

Jesus is God and man. John 1:1-18. Immanuel , “ God with us.”

I think we have dual nature too. Spirit and man. Its just that Jesus’ Spirit is Christ so He is God and man.
Please correct me if i am wrong.

Although he is God and human, yet Christ is not two, but one. He is one, however, not by his divinity being turned into flesh, but by God’s taking humanity to himself. He is one, certainly not by the blending of his essence, but by the unity of his person.
The most basic explanation for the hypostatic union is Jesus Christ being both God and man. He is both perfectly divine and perfectly human. -

Jesus is only one person, Jesus.
But Jesus has all the attributes of deity…omnipotence, eternality, omnibenevolence, omniscience…
But He also has all the attributes of humanity…a body, He hungered, thirsted, got tired, etc.
Hence, one person, two natures.

Not two natures. Neither do we. He’s the blueprint of us and we are a NEW CREATION. Must we unlearn our sin habits? Yes. But one nature. Born of God.

No one says that they are the parents of their children’s bodies. It would sound weird because what was born was not only a body but a whole person. In the same way the Council of Ephesus in 431 defended the two natures of Christ by denying Mary was the Christotokos since that have her birthing Christ in only the human, anointed one nature. To protect and better articulate proper Christology the council named her Theotokos which in a literal translation means God-bearer but in a more figurative translation is “Mother of God”. This was affirmed by both the Catholic Church and Martin Luther.

Jesus claimed to be one with the Father in John, and claimed to be I AM. In Matthew and Mark and I believe even Luke, Jesus referred to Himself as the Son of Man, which refers to Daniel seeing God, (one like a son of man whose kingdom has no end and is from everlasting to everlasting). Also, Jesus was declared to be the Son of God by the Father at the Jordan river. These testify to Jesus being God. We also know He was human. He was born, He grew up, He was killed, and He rose in a physical glorified body. Thus, Jesus is fully divine and fully human. It is important to understand the nature or essence of Jesus did not change, and there were not multiple personalities. Rather, the human “nature” and divine “nature” are together the one Jesus, the God Man, or as the Newsboys say the Forever Man.

Jesus Have four basic natures in His person. All four well described in the old and New Testament. I think best examples are the 4 Gospels, each describes Jesus at one of these. Matthew Jesus as a KING. Mark Jesus as a SERVANT. Luke Jesus as MAN. John Jesus as GOD

Nothing to argue…it is already an absolute truth…whether you believe it or not nothing will change of Christ…He will remain with two nature…God Man in one person…whatever the world’s opinion will say on His being with two nature it will remain as it is…Christ will not change Himself just for the sake of one’s opinion or argument with Him…

He has an immortal and eternal Father and a mortal mother. Inheriting power over death and sin while also inheriting the ability to die and sin. In His sacrifice he gave redemption through the sacrifice of His flesh and blood, two things that he inherited from Mary. But from His Father he inherited “power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life”(John 17:2)
