We just are honest about where whatever religion you choose will take you. Freewill is a basic tenet for us too ? -
Of course, mankind has been provided free will to choose their own destiny. God the Father has infused free will into both His angelic and human creation in order that love and relationship with Him can manifest in purity and authenticity. You are free to choose any religion, any god or no god but if you reject Jesus Christ as your God for the mediation of your sin, you will NOT see life in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Will be idiotic in not believing in religion, couse do exist ,there are more than 5 millions religions so how we are not gonna believe in something that do existe , my friend JESUS is not a religion it is a relationship.

I wouldn’t want the government or my local church to put legal penalties on me for how I believe, except that I would like to see the local church SHUN people who sin without repentance, according to the prescription given by Jesus. Tell them, tell them with another witness or two, tell them in front of the whole church, then – if they really won’t relent from an *obvious* sin only – then shun them *for their own sakes*, not as though they are the World but as a dear sibling, so Satan will hurt them and they will relent from the sin that hurts them even more. We should have freedom of religion from any secular authority, as long as that religion (for instance, some forms of witchcraft, Wicca or Satanism – for instance) commit what is otherwise a crime (except that secular crime prohibits something God commands Christians or requires something God prohibits Christians from doing).

Yes. But they also believe the very Biblical doctrine that the only way to be saved is through Jesus Christ our Lord and everyone else is bound for hell. Evangelicals don’t want people to go to hell, so they take evangelism very seriously.

Yes you’re free to believe what you want. However, if we’re not trying to give you the gospel then one of two truths are present. Either A. We don’t truly believe it or B. We don’t care if you go to hell. And you know girl none of those truths are me so you will definitely here the gospel from me lol. You are still very much free to sulk in your atheism though ?

Do you mean the freedom to worship whatever/whom ever you like? Sure!! But there is only one “true” faith, and that is in the redemptive power of Jesus Christ, the Son of The Living God. Jesus said, “I AM the Way, the Truth and the Light. No no one comes to the Father except through Me!”

I’m 49 years old and every single evangelical Christian I’ve ever met is an adamant believer in freedom of religion. This might not sound good, but I’m having a hard time believing this was a serious post.

We are all free to worship as we choose, and yes I believe in that and support that. I may not agree with how others worship. I may even believe that how some worship is a sin. That gives me no right to intrude on their freedom of worship. I can only share the gospel with those around me as they will allow, and then pray that God brings them to salvation.

I have met some who do… and some who don’t. And I have met some who think their denomination is the only right one.

Yes! Freedom of religion allows us to practice our faith and evangelize.
A “theocratic Christian State” also diminishes the value of true Christianity – that to follow and walk in it should be a choice made freely, voluntarily and wholeheartedly.

Sure your free to believe what you like, your not free from the consequences of these actions including judgement. Jesus said He is the life, He is the truth, He is the way, and NOBODY goes to the Father, but by HIM.

This is a complicated question because on one side, you have people who believe that all claims to truth are relative and equally valid. Some who are religious in one form or another will say that all views lead to God equally. Some say that all views lead to God unequally, but it is not important to proselytize because Hell is a myth. There are all kinds of different forms of “perspectivalism.” This is the assertion that perspectives are all just as valid, and on some level, we are unable to communicate with each other because our relative opinions are not commensurate. Our separate viewpoints are foreign enough from one person to the next that communication is even hard. People say that the different views of God are like a big elephent that five or so blind guys can each touch a part, or so the story goes, and each touches a different part and says “Aha, God is a trunk,” or another one says “a leg.” But they all disagree because their views are not commensurate. This is perspectivalism. I, as an evangelical, look at this story and ask, well, “why didn’t the blind men just ask each other what they felt?” Or “why didn’t they just feel around more.” Or “why didn’t they ask the narrator in the story who was apparently watching them all make fools out of themselves?” I believe that perspectives can be discussed and views can be evaluated by others. I think that truth exists. I honestly believe that my Bible is the truth in text passed down through ages. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. All that to say, in answer to your question, I believe that all religions should tolerate each other. That doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t discuss our differences in a civilized way and try to convert each other. It’s all fair… The point is that we are civil about our differences, and we enjoy discussing them! We can be perfectly kind and respectful while we disagree! We aren’t children. This is tolerance as I see it.

FREE WILL is the essence of Human relationship with God… God wants Humans to Love him with their own Free will.
Freedom to Religion is ofcourse everyone believes in, But I believe more important question is, “Do you Believe the Religion you Believe in is True?” Don’t hurry to answer this question, take time to FIND THE TRUTH. Because TRUTH is not relative, not everything can be True.
Jesus openly proclaimed, “I am the Way, TRUTH and Life” and also that “You shall know the TRUTH and the TRUTH shall set you FREE.”
So it is upto us to Find our Truth and ascertain that the God we believe in is a True God.
But be ABSOLUTELY SURE of your Conclusion in this quest of Truth because The Bible says…
“Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.”

YES! Acknowledging the religions of others is the starting point of mission and Evangelism for soul winning. The evangelicals’ believed God has never left Himself without a witness. In other words God witnessed of Himself to everyone in their cultural religion (Acts 14:17). From the known to the unknown. Christianity is the continuity of God from the old. Evangelicals tolerate other religions; all other religions are mission fields for Christianity. Tolerance and believe that others have religions before coming to Christ is a knowledge strategy for Evangelicals. And same should be for all others in the CHRISTIANITY /Kingdom of God “job”

If evangelicals believe in freedom of religion,, that is to say everyone has a right to believe or not believe whatever nonsense they want, then why do evangelicals try to convert everyone?
Many will go to the point of judgment, blaming, and shaming tactics. -
If you believe in scripture and freedom of choice, you have to believe in freedom of religion, but not the religion they practice.

If evangelicals believe in freedom of religion,,Why do evangelicals feel the need to show up at events downtown and walk around in groups of 10 or 12 people holding large signs and preaching in a loud voice to everyone around them?
Not saying you don’t have a right to do so, but it is annoying and kinda ruins the downtown ambiance.
I distinctly remember looking at them one time and noticing about half of them holding signs looked as if they don’t even wanna be there. With just a blank look on their face and showing no emotion at all. They looked pretty young, and I thought maybe their parents sent them out with the church as some sort of punishment. Do evangelicals do that? -

Not really. The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob,Judah, etc Moses, King David, King Solomon, etc Jesus, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Mary, Martha, Paul, Jude, James, etc is the only true God. According to the Bible all other religions are demonic.

Absolutely. You have freedom to believe what you want.. Whether what you believe is the truth or not, I can only try to persuade you. There is absolute truth.. Whether you are open to it or not, I cannot force you to believe as I do, despite it being the truth.

What pleasure might God have had in anyone whom He had forced to turn? What pleasure might anyone have in anyone else’s attachment to him if it could not have been freely formed? God in His goodness reserves a right freely to win hearts.

Islam and Christianity have become the largest religions in the world. Not because either one offer any kind of truth, but because both teach the narrative that Believers are in a struggle with all others, and this can only end when the entire world has been converted to their prospective religion. Both books say to kill non-believers, and so when we look throughout history and even in current days, it’s no surprise this is the result.

You mean to say that bible say to kill unbelievers, let me introduce to a passage that I call the guiding principal of the bible: John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jesus said turn the other cheek. When he told his apostles to get a sword it was for wild animals, to protect themselves against and/or to eat. He didn’t mean for any followers of his then or in our time to strike back at others. To say otherwise is a lie.

Evangelical Xtians believe a lot of cookie things. So why not freedom of religion? Though there is bases for it in a national sense… we share a dying world with unbelievers. What? … conversion by the sword anyone? At the same time… believers are not so free. We are bound to the Gospel of our Lord and the obedience of faith to the one Gospel message. Ya… a concept lost in our day. Most Evangelicals won’t even grasp my point. Too busy trying to appease and please the lost… so much so that they will take up the cause of the lost against true believers whom they condemn for not following suit. Upside down world once again. Be corrected please… time is of the essence.
