Man enters the world in a state of being dead in trespasses and in sins. That is the reason why to believe in a false gospel doesn’t make the dead even more dead trespasses and in sins. A false gospel doesn’t have power to kill the dead. Belief in a false gospel damns no one.

Likewise, God quickens the dead man in order for him to be able to believe the true Gospel. That’s why to believe the true Gospel doesn’t make any man alive to God in Christ Jesus. The true Gospel doesn’t have the power to resurrect the already living ones. Belief in a true Gospel saves no one.

Huh? If you don’t believe the correct gospel, which is to believe in Jesus Christ for your salvation, you are screwed. If you add to it, you are also screwed, because adding to it, subtracts faith. When Jesus said to believe in him he meant it like a Superhero. Believe IN him, not just that he exists..

Being dead in sin is a literary device, I believe there are 19 different literary devices employed throughout scripture, being quickened in the context used in the post is also a literary device. Not recognizing literary devices can cause a lot of confusion.
