Have you ever been in a discussion where the other person wasn’t listening. The talk they were doing was more just a “self pleasuring” sort of thing? I think that is how God feels when we bring up “topics” to argue over or boast our side. The woman at the well in John’s gospel tried to use religious debate to deflate her own guilt….what did Jesus say? He wants worshippers in spirit and truth…not self deception using religion maliciously.
