Easter is an old pagan holiday repackaged into Christianity by Christian Bishops & Roman emperor Constantine. The churches in Asia were unwilling to compromise observing the Holy Feast Days & Eostre. Christian Bishops thought Easter should stand on its own and should not be associated with any other religious faith, Constantine agreed, so the Bishops of Rome had Emperor Constantine make a law forbidding them to do so. In 325 A.D., at the First Council of Nicaea, they established the date of Easter as the first Sunday after the full moon following the March equinox officially making Easter a Christian thing.
