Joseph Smith is a False prophet. He gave 54 “Thus saith the lord” prophecies and 51 failed to come to fruition. He’s a demon in disguise.
Doctrines & Covenants 114 prime example of a huge false prophecy. JS prophecies “thus saith the lord” concerning MR Patten would sell all his belongings and join him in the following spring to begin a huge ministry. Mr Patten died that Autumn and never made it to the following spring in which JS said he would.

If its a different Jesus, they don’t have salvation. Now, can a person be going to a morman church and believe in the true Jesus, sure. People can be trapped in a untrue religion and not because of family or tradition be able to break away. Pray for them that God would give the revelation that Jesus is more important that anything.

Just this one fact will destroy Mormonism: Joseph Smith made changes to the Bible. If you look that the Mormon’s version of the Bible (OT and NT), there are various footnotes showing the changes by Joseph Smith. This is a serious violation of the authority and finality of the Word of God.

Just because they believe in some type of Jesus doesn’t make them Christian. Muslims technically believe in Jesus, albeit one that was never crucified and is not the son of God or part of the Trinity… A lot of New Agers strive for “Christ consciousness” or see Jesus as one of many wise prophets through the ages but don’t consider Him to be the one and only way to God. Mormons similarly believe in a “Jesus’ but not THE Jesus.
First we must recognize that the mormon church teaches a different Jesus. They support another gospel. Most would consider mormonism as a cult. Now who is Joseph Smith, what is so different about him that God would make him a messagener of the gospel? At the time of Joseph Smith, were there other people using glass of divination, hoping to find gold? Is the mormon church adding or subtracting from scripture? Why would God change his message? There are many questions to ask, but when sharing the Gospel with a mormon, sharing is love, be winsome. In no way barge in tell them their wrong and going to hell. There are many YouTube sources that you can learn to study how to witness and understand cults.

Q. I met a Mormon guy while I was at a summer camp. He told me he was a Christian, but I always thought I heard that they aren’t. What are they?
A. Good question! Though I’m not an expert on the Mormon religion I’d be happy to shed some light on this question and even broaden it to other Christian religions.
One of the most central beliefs of all Christians, including Catholics, is that there is one God. This God is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Three distinct Persons yet one divine Nature. The Council of Nicaea, in 325 AD, defined the Son as “consubstantial” with the Father. In other words, He is of the same substance or essence as the Father. This also applies to the Holy Spirit. God the Son also took on a second nature when He became man. So the Son is both God and man.
This central belief of Christianity is one not shared by Mormonism. Mormons claim to believe that Jesus is divine but that He and the Father are not of the same divine nature. Rather, they believe the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three distinct gods. They believe these three gods are united in the same purpose but are not of the one and only divine essence.
Now that may all seem confusing and overly philosophical. But it really is at the heart of what we believe as Christians. Therefore, if anyone denies this fundamental belief, that there is one God rather than three gods, then we would have to say their beliefs are not the same as ours. So it’s fair to say that Mormons and Catholics differ in our belief about the Trinity in an essential way. However, all of the mainstream Protestant religions believe the same as Catholics regarding the Trinity.
So what’s the bottom line? The bottom line is that Mormons do not have the same essential Christian belief in the Trinity as we do. In fact, it is this essential difference that has led our Church to reject their baptism as a valid one even though they use the same words as we do. We do, however, accept other Christian baptisms as a valid Sacrament (such as Lutherans, Anglicans, Presbyterians, Baptists, etc.). We accept these baptisms as valid because they believe the same as we do regarding the Trinity and other essential aspects of the Christian faith.
If you were to talk to a Mormon, however, you may find that they do believe many things we do. For that reason we do not reject anything in their religion that is true. But we do reject their doctrine on the Trinity as well as a number of other essential beliefs regarding salvation, eternal life, Original Sin, Heaven, revelation, etc.
Mormons can certainly be good people and may claim to be Christians, but we do not believe they have the essential beliefs that makes a Christian a Christian.
This is my general description of a Christian;
“Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” John 3:18 NIV
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”John 14:6 NIV
Whoever had any other Gospel aside from this is only practicing Idolatry for

To have Jesus in the name of your church doesn’t make it (the church) or you a christian.

The World Council of Churches is a liberal organization that accepts all forms of Christianity. However, they exclude Mormons. To be a true Church you must look to the Bible as the Word of God alone and you must believe in the Trinity. The Mormons talk about Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but not the Biblical revelation if God. And they believe in a different concept of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Whenever a church accepts the Bible And another book as revelation, the reality is that the other book Annuls the Bible wherever they differ.
It’s a cult that is following the wrong Jesus based on the teachings of a false prophet.

I don’t agree with their doctrine but I do know some that really love God/Jesus and I believe they are born again and will make it. I believe God sees past the failures of doctrine and sees the heart. But I also believe you are responsible for what you believe. Seek Him mentality. I will not pass judgement on them until I see their fruit of daily life which is evidence of being born again.
If you dont think members of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints are Christian, read the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ plainly.
If somebody says ,The Bible is not enough to Know The Lord Jesus Christ and make his own “the book of mormon” ( “revelation”) definitely is a Cult.
Mormonism focuses on works salvation and never have the assurance of their works being enough to gain enter into heaven.
Therefore God say their work will be counted as debt. It is grace alone and no works. They also do not believe that Jesus Christ is God and they do not believe in the Godhead (3-in-one). They do not believe in hell. Plus so much more which will keep then out of the kingdom. False teaching = false conversion= judgement by God.
But God is not willing that any show perish, so let’s us pray and share the gospel to all creatures – Jesus is the only way and truth and LIFE – no man comes to Father but by him.
