The JEWS didn’t believe JESUS was MESSIAH because they didn’t know the scriptures .

I heard you can go to God directly without a mediator in judisim. Well in Christianity we can too. Jesus is our advocate intercessor and high priest.
The old testament follows a story line of the enemy trying to kill the Messiah or corrupt the human race before he is ever born. Do you see this in your reading? Do you think the enemy has stopped working today? Let’s think a minute. If the Jews rejected their Messiah were mad and insulted. Wanted him dead. Do you think the historal accounts of him would anything other than that. You read rabbinic literature according to their opinions. If they missed the Messiah you will miss the Messiah repeating their errors. Why do you need more then scripture. Even the old testament has so many prophecies. Why aren’t you studying those?
Dear Tim, Jesus fulfilled the over 200 prophecies of the coming Messiah. In order to do that, you have to multiply the odds of him for filling a single prophecy. What Messiah does is NOT based on Jewish expectation, but on God’s written Revelation. That is the very issue at the heart of Judaism and what Christ rebuked the Pharisees for.
No one cares what the Jewish view is, only what does Scripture say. If a Jewish view helps us understand a text in the Scriptures better, than okay, that’s why we study historical-cultural context. But, the Jewish Tradition is EXACTLY what is at odds with the Scriptures, because they are man made no matter how honorable those traditions were for. The Church has VERY often lead to the same blunders as Judaism, which is the whole point of the reformation.
A Jewish human tradition view of Scripture that avoids stepping on the Jews own toes for that very reason, that elevates men in the Talmud on par with men God approved (namely the prophets) is itself against God.

Still at it Tim. Let’s lay aside all the Jewish stuff for now and concentrate on the most important event in history the Resurrection. Some atheist scholars agree the event took place though it’s beyond my understanding they still reject Jesus. Mong Santiago you are correct and this means everything. Tim Lewandowski, can I ask what your thoughts are on Pslam 22 and Isaiah 53 are and what these prophecy’s point to? As you may know Pslam 22 was referenced when Christ was on the cross.
If you don’t already, Please understand that Christian doctrine doesn’t teach that all prophecy’s in the old testiment have been fulfilled. We believe that many prophecies are yet to be fulfilled on Jesus’ second coming. We believe he is a living God and his mission is not yet complete. His mission was never to abandon his people or to even to abolish law, but came to fulfil and satisfy the wrath of a Just God.
I believe that the gospels teach an understanding to why certain laws existed and they teach why Christ exists.

We know who the Messiah is. You never answered me what Isaiah 53 and Daniel 7 and 9 say about who the Messiah is. Look at those to begin with.
And by the way Isiah and Daniel are part of the Jewish “tradition”. So I’m sticking with the OT.
The Jews reject Christ and are judged this is why the Temple is destroyed and Judaism is ended in 70ad.
The high priest asks Jesus if He is in fact the Messiah and Jesus answers him directly.
Also Jesus pronounces Judgement on the High priest.

That’s not Judaism, Tim Lewandowski. Judaism teaches that the Messiah has a dual role, Mashiach ben Yosef and Mashiach ben David. Jesus fulfills both. The first time he fulfilled the Messiah’s priestly role according to Isaiah 53, Zech 9:9 (lowly, riding on a donkey) and other passages. The second time he comes will be at the end of the age, and he will accomplish everything prophesied in the Hebrew Scriptures and listed in Judaism 101: Mashiach. He had to come according to Daniel’s timeline and before the destruction of the second temple (the only way the glory of the second temple could be greater than the first was because of the presence of God’s Son), and before the lineages from King David were destroyed. It’s too late now for someone else to be the Messiah – they can’t prove their lineage to King David. Read the signs of the times, Tim. The Powers That Be are setting up a one world government technocratic super-state in which no one will buy or sell without the mark of the beast. Perfectly set up for the Antichrist. The gospel has been translated into nearly every language on earth and brought by Christians to nearly every people group, just as Jesus commanded his followers. Tim Lewandowski you keep saying that Jesus is a mediator like that is a bad thing. A mediator will not help blasphemers. If anyone candy coats that for you then they are not doing you any favors. And if you continue to blaspheme the Holy Spirit with hard heart zeal then there is no saving you. You love to blaspheme Christ, you drink deep of your sin. I can see spending time talking to Jews that deny Christ, but you mock Christ and Christians. Your delight blinds you, it’s the nature of sin.
Question: “Was Jesus a Jew?”
Answer: One needs only to search the internet today to determine that there is great controversy and disagreement over the question of whether Jesus of Nazareth was actually Jewish. Before we can answer this question adequately, we must first ask another question: who (or what) is a Jew? Even this question has its controversial elements, and the answer depends on who is answering. But one definition that each of the major sects of Judaism—Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform—would probably agree to is, “A Jew is any person whose mother was a Jew or any person who has gone through the formal process of conversion to Judaism.”
Although the Hebrew Bible does not specifically state anywhere that matrilineal descent should be used, modern rabbinical Judaism believes that there are several passages in the Torah where this is understood or implied, such as Deuteronomy 7:1-5; Leviticus 24:10; and Ezra 10:2-3. Then there are several examples in Scripture of Gentiles converting to Judaism (e.g., Ruth, the Moabitess; see Ruth 1:16 where Ruth voices her desire to convert) and are considered every bit as Jewish as an ethnic Jew.
So, let’s consider two questions: Was Jesus a Jew ethnically? And, was Jesus an observant Jew religiously?
Was Jesus a Jew ethnically, or was his mother a Jew? Jesus clearly identified with the Jews of His day, His physical people and tribe, and their religion (although He strongly rejected the pharisaical reinterpretation of the religion). God purposely sent Him to Judah: “He came to His own [Judah], and His own [Judah] did not receive Him. But as many [Jews] as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name… (John 1:11-12 NKJV), and He clearly said, “You [Gentiles] worship what you do not know; we [Jews] know what we [Jews] worship, for salvation is of the Jews” (John 4:22).
The very first verse of the New Testament clearly proclaims the Jewish ethnicity of Jesus. “The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham” (Matthew 1:1). It is evident from passages like Hebrews 7:14, “For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah,” that Jesus descended from the tribe of Judah, from which we get the name “Jew.” And what about Mary, the mother of Jesus? In the genealogy in Luke chapter 3, we see clearly that Mary was a direct descendant of King David which gave Jesus the legal right to ascend the Jewish throne as well as establishing without any doubt that Jesus was a Jew ethnically.
Was Jesus an observant Jew religiously? Both of Jesus’ parents had “done everything required by the Law of the Lord” (Luke 2:39). His relatives, Zechariah and Elizabeth, were also Torah-observant Jews (Luke 1:6), so we can see that probably the whole family took their Jewish faith very seriously.
In the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5–7), Jesus continually affirmed the authority of the Torah and the Prophets (Matthew 5:17) even in the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 5:19-20). He regularly attended synagogue (Luke 4:16), and His teaching was respected by the other Jews of His day (Luke 4:15). He taught in the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem (Luke 21:37), and if He were not a Jew, His going into that part of the Temple would simply not have been allowed (Acts 21:28-30).
Jesus also displayed the outward signs of being an observant Jew. He wore tzitzit (tassles) on His clothing (Luke 8:44; Matthew 14:36) to serve as a reminder of the commandments (Numbers 15:37-39). He observed Passover (John 2:13) and went up to Jerusalem (Deuteronomy 16:16) on this very important Jewish pilgrimage feast day. He observed Succoth, or the feast of tabernacles (John 7:2, 10) and went up to Jerusalem (John 7:14) as required in the Torah. He also observed Hanukkah, the festival of lights (John 10:22) and probably Rosh Hashanah, the feast of trumpets (John 5:1), going up to Jerusalem on both those occasions as well, even though it isn’t commanded in the Torah. Clearly, Jesus identified Himself as a Jew (John 4:22) and as King of the Jews (Mark 15:2). From His birth to His last Passover Seder (Luke 22:14-15), Jesus lived as an observant Jew.
For not knowing who the Messiah we are greatful to God as Paul say in Romans 11: 30-22 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now[h] receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. 32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
