Continuationism,
– God said in the last days he will pour out his Spirit upon all flesh so your sons and daughters shall prophesy.
– God is no respecter of persons.
– The Bible says do no forbid speaking in tongues.
Yes, a lot of stuff can be faked. But there are gifts out there still.

Continuationism. I stand on the whole book of 1 Corinthians. If the gifts of the spirit were no longer, half of that book makes no sense. Secondly, the “time of perfection” (1 Corinthians 13) is not clearly defined.

Cessationism. Christ accomplished and finished the final and complete revelation of God to man.

Nowhere does the Bible say the gifts or the power has ended, And nowhere does the Bible say they will end this side of eternity. The Bible says the power is in the Church throughout ALL AGES, world without end. And we ares still in the ALL AGES, and the world hasn’t ended yet.

Honestly, I see no reason why the supposed supernatural gifts should have ceased. The mental gymnastics that cessationists go through is contrived and simply an attempt to apologize for why nothing supernatural is going on today in light of failed biblical promises that such gifts should be continuing just like the other less spectacular gifts.

There is absolutely no verse in the bible whatsoever that can defend cessationism…. None, nada, zilch

There is no biblical basis for cessationism. The supernatural gifts were given for three biblical purposes and those purposes are every bit as important today as they ever were:
1. Signs of the kingdom of God among you. The gospel of the kingdom is the gospel we are enjoined to preach.
2. Signs of the Last Days when God would pour out his Spirit on all flesh.
3. To build up the body of Christ.
Cessationism is the tradition of men nullifying the word of God.

Continuationism to an extent. I believe miracles and wonders still happen, but I don’t believe our generation has the same level of annointing that the Aspostles did. I don’t agree with many of the Pentecostal doctrines either.

Cessationism to an extent. Follow Bible chronologically, and certain gifts have ceased.
