I have to say my John MacArthur study bible has been my go to for just about everything. The study guide part really puts scripture into context. Most discussions I’ve had with non theists and the arguments they have against God stem from lack of scriptural context.

I would also add a JMac study Bible. One commentator stated that “if you were to read the Bible along with the commentary, you would probably be theologically stronger than most pastors.”

There are plenty. I actually encourage you to get a couple and compare them side by side. I’ve got a number of them and that’s how I did my study. Read the bible cover to cover twice and learned a ton through apologetics bibles.

The one I love the most is “NKJV Chronological study bible”. The books of the bible are not in chronological sequence, but rather in sequence by the events. For example, you might find parts of Psalms all the way through the bible in pieces. It’s because the verses are connected through the sequential timeline of history, not in the interest of maintaining scroll integrity by Romans or Proverbs or anything like that. It’s the one I like the most.

The CSB Apologetics Study Bible for Students is pretty good! Although it says it’s for students, I could argue that anyone should use it. ?

I would recommend Reason for God, by Tim Keller, as a good basic read with which to begin.

I am using a Thompson Chain Referrence Bible (NIV). A treasure chest of doctrines and topical studies. There is archeological supplements as well as concordance.
