In order for you to lose your salvation you have to leave the principles of God. You have to deliberately go back to perdition and get back Tangled into the world without repentance. You cannot leave God and not return and expect to be rewarded. You’d think that would be common sense.
The prodigal son was welcome because he returned. He did not want to parish in his ways so he went back home and he was welcomed with open arms. That was the purpose that scripture which gives the actual meaning to this scripture.

As long as you are living it is not too late, but you can definitely lose your salvation if you willfully leave God and stay away but ..

You cannot follow and be consumed by temptation and die in that state. A lot of people want to cover themselves with once saved always saved so they don’t have to watch what they do, but the scripture says do not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
If you walk in flesh you are not of the spirit. That doesn’t mean you won’t stumble. A just man falls seven times. But if you willfully walk in sin without conviction you are lost and need to be found again.
In other words return home like The prodigal son. If not you will perish in your deeds.
1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. When you fear the lord you do not walk in the flesh and you repent when you stumble. But you absolutely do not backslide. if you do as long as you’re living you have a chance to return. If you do not you will not be rewarded salvation. That is pure deception.

Be careful what you tell your self when you do things wilfully that you shouldnt. It’s a trap. Satan wants to destroy you in that state. Like he destroyed himself.
