When we deny God’s sovereignty over our salvation we actually rob God of the glory that is due to Him and elevate ourselves.

It is by His sovereignty that we have free will. God is not guilty of our willful sin.

If your statement is taken to an extreme application or some say a logical conclusion then that would go against evangelism. One could say it is not important to preach the gospel because God can save them without my help. I don’t want to rob God of his glory if he wants to save them.
