   Respectfully, to my mind it is not the word of god that have stood the test of time, but rather the belief in it that stood against all reason for the longest time.

   Also, having the interpretation of the “word of god” constantly change over time to the point of now having about 40,000 different denominations, I do not see how one could claim it to have stood the test of time.

   I mean, tell me which denomination you subscribe to, and I will tell you the year it first appeared.

   Yes, it has. What about the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Jude? How about the Diatesseron or the Didache? Acts of Mary? These were all part of God’s word at one time. What changed?
