While we would like to believe that, the purpose in a non-eternal exit from this world would be enjoyment and to have all we wanted physically and emotionally in this world. I totally agree with our NEED for God, but in the hypothetical Godless world we are speaking of, glorification of self and pursuit of happiness whatever that may be would be the point. “Take what you can get”.
This is the reason why The “Life is meaningless without God” argument is invalid to a non-believer. But the truth of his necessity, and the need for his will, plan, and Grace are inevitably undeniable when we know him.

If you think morality is doing what god decides is right, how is it objective?
If god just informs us of what is right, which is right because it is right, not because god says so, then it is objective, but it isn’t dependent on god.
