Son of God is a title. Jesus and the father are one John 10:30. Job 1 talks of it as a heavenly being what it seems. Jesus actually refers to himself quite a bit more as the son of man which is an old testament.
-
No. God did not marry.
I am guessing you are looking at the whole child out of wedlock thing.
So, God can create the whole universe and all life in it, by himself, and that is acceptable. But God can not create Himself in a human life, without a wife? There is no logic in that.
Also Jesus wasn’t born out of wedlock. He had two married earthly parents.
Lastly, it is called immaculate conception. There was no sex between the Holy Spirit and Mary, so there is no need for marriage.

no, and its by the Holy Spirit.Joseph was going to divorce Mary because he thought she was unfaithful, but notice this…
Mt 1:20But as he was considering these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for what has been conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.this is one of the newer arguments sadly that Dan Brown in his books bring up that is just wrong and flawed in so many ways. -
Israel.

There is one infinite, perfect God, self-existent from all eternity. God is one, yet He consists of three real persons, the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit, which are all infinite and without beginning. The Son is not the Father, the Holy Spirit is not the Son, and the Father is not the Holy Spirit, but each person is referred to in Scripture with the divine name of God and given the prerogatives that God reserves for Himself, and they all act independently yet in one accord.
With all of that said, the Son is said to be eternally begotten of the Father, and the Spirit is said to be proceeding from the Father and the Son. These distinctions give an indication as to the interaction between the persons of the Trinity but do not constitute a ranking within the Godhead, as all three persons are equally God.
Jesus’ Sonship transcends human categories of family interactions and therefore does not require a mother

Procreation is for the created living things so that they multiply. It’s not for God. And He doesn’t have to marry to have a Son. His Son is eternal, with no beginning and no end. He is God.

I did not read the question that closely. But to answer the question. If the Bible never states that God married. Then God never was married. There are things we must just accept by faith. One of those things is that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are all equally part of the Godhead.
-
No and Jesus is begotten
-
How about a perspective twist? He married Israel. Who he is still faithful to, though she whored. He now has us all.
-
Foolish, foolish
-
Why is this a question.
-
There should be a rule in this group that if you haven’t read a page of Scripture before, then you don’t get to ask questions.
-
The Holy Spirit of God overshadowed Mary and breathed His very life into her ovum, incarnating Himself in the flesh.
-
NO
-
um. no.
-
God as creator doesn’t have formula to create. Jesus was born of The vergin Mary overshadowed by the holy spirit. No human understanding can comprehend his work. only those who know the God holy spirit can understand it
-
Look at his profile. He already knows the answer. Or definitely should, if he’s clergy.
-
Seriously?
-
Read Isaiah 53 and the gospel according to Matthew
-
There’s nothing legitimate about a question like this. It’s utter foolishness.
-
Allah married muhamed
-
“Become”?? No, a “child was born… a Son was given”.. the son was given because He already was.
John 1:1-2. -
Ekezie… You are also His son.. we are all God’s children.
-
For Someone who could create the world just with His word, “Virgin” Mary to give birth is not a big deal. When we are talking about God, we have to think outside the box. Not that one could completely comprehend God when they do that but one will certainly find answers to some of their questions.
-
The answer is probably no. I say probably because of one section of the Old Testament.
Jeremiah 3:6-8 (NKJV) 6 The LORD said also to me in the days of Josiah the king: “Have you seen what backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and there played the harlot. 7 “And I said, after she had done all these [things,] ‘Return to Me.’ But she did not return. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. 8 “Then I saw that for all the causes for which backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also.
God compares himself to a husband who divorced his wife.
I’m just stirring the pot and giving you something to think about.
-
Jesus did not “become” God’s Son. He was always God’s Son even as God has always existed.
-
The answers are explained in the Bible. E.g Only “begotten” of the Father. You could no worse than research yourself, unless there’s some other reason for your question.
-
Don’t you think God is so powerful that even out of the stone he can create sons of Abraham? Matthew 3:9…. Is there anything too hard for the Lord?
-
Though scripture doesn’t say there’s a Heavenly wife, if there were then God properly sheilds her from what He endures from man.
-
Is there any impossible with God? If He can’t enter His creation then He is not God at all!
-
Well, you see, what happened was…
-
God created you without a woman, he created Adam and Eve without a woman and he called us His children. God can create a spiritual being and call him son.
-
If you want to read up on that incorrect tattle, I’ll recommend, Dan Browns Da Vinci Code pg 110, but that’s more about Christ than God, but it’s a good piece of useless trash
-
No. God did not marry. Within the Trinity, Jesus related and submitted to God like a son to a father.
-
-
Jesus did not become God’s son until the day God declared Him so after He was baptized in River Jordan. He was a child of Joseph and Mary till then.
Then when the Angel spoke of His birth, the Angel said u will conceive by a spiritual impartation not by sexual intercourse. The Holy Spirit brought about the pregnancy of Mary.
(Jesus is a child that came to be by the breath of God. Making Him a replica of Adam, therefore He is called the Last Adam/second Adam.)
Did God marry to bear Adam as His His son?

Jesus Pascal Nnchedonna
This is not so, Brother.Jesus is God the Son, eternally existent with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.
This eternal being, God the Son, infused His very essence into Mary’s ova and literally wrapped Himself in human flesh.
He never became the Son of God, He has always been, and will always be, God the Son.

Jesus is God incarnate

Holy Spirit

I am singLe. I have a nephew. My sister’s son. But I address him ‘son’ aLso. Did I marry?
My point is reLationship, and address. -
God is not a human that he should marry and have kids.
-
None of the above; Jesus was begotten of Holy Spirit.

In the beginning WAS the word and the word was God. Jesus is the word of God, which means he was God, God the word so to say. But when He came to earth He left all that made Him God to the Father and so He was like you and i except that He was born Holy, conceive of the Holy Ghost. He was not omnipresent, omnipotent nor was He omniscient. He depended on His father for everything. God then said “Today have i begotten thee” which means there was a particular time He was begotten. And in another place He said ” this is my only begotten son in whom i am well pleased with”. And i don’t think there is anyone God ever called His son or begotten son through out the old testament save our Lord Jesus. It was after His death and resurrection that He was Glorified by God the Father to be God the Son and was given a name that is above every other name. My understanding. I hope it helps
-
We r created beings.God always existed. Who made God my children ask me that question so many times. Can thou by searching find out God.He spake and it was done. God is eternal.I AM is his name.
-
I love it when people try to act intelligent and openly show they haven’t even learned the basics.
-
This is a misunderstanding of what it means for Jesus to be the Son of God. Watch this 4 minute video to see what it really means that Jesus is the Son of God.

God did not marry. See Hebrews 5:5; why do you ask?
-
Jesus does not reflect God’s holiness perfectly. He IS God’s Holiness, eternally existent and incarnate in human flesh. He is uniquely the Son of God because He is Eternally God the Son! He is the Only Begotten Son because at a singular point time, Almighty God infused His being into the ova of a woman and became flesh of her flesh. He is Fully God and Fully Man.
