If you’re going to be a true Christian you’re going to lead a lonely life, it is a narrow way and it gets narrower and narrower.
Leonard Ravenhill.
Never a truer word spoken and a price I’m willing to pay.

It’s a very sad truth, but as been said many atime, Jesus is worth following and forsaking all. The cross before me, the world behind me, no going back. Only Jesus is the way, truth, and the life.
It’s so true!! We’ve lost many friends, because we dont live like them. I choose Jesus ♡
What’s a true Christian? That seems like a statement based off of a fallacy.
Following Jesus has brought me so much loss and a depth of grief incomparable. But living more separate from people has given me a freedom I never knew I yearned for. I make my way through world more joyfully as I depend less on people and reap an abundance of fresh opportunities every single day.
The greater price to have paid, was being stuck in the prison of needing to belong.
Kinda hard to make disciples that way
Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Chris (Philippians 3:8)
The statement has nothing to do with the denominations in fact denominations in my view are absolute rubbish and nothing short of tribalism.
What it means to be a true Christian is to not follow other people for the sake of friendships, living a life as you once did.
For me I was a party animal In a 1% outlaw biker club , I had an experience that changed my life and brought me into a relationship with Christ. My once Brothers / closest friends didn’t want to know me anymore because I didn’t want to live that lifestyle anymore, so I was Cast aside without a second thought.
So you see the Narrow path of Christianity can be a lonely one.
I am now extra careful who I call my friends.
When I became a Christian I lost many of those types of friends too. Some got saved afterwards, thank God. Jesus changes everything, if our lives don’t change like, odds are the conversion more than likely wasn’t real.
When i became a christian, ya its true its hard bcos you hve to live life different among unbeliever set aside of what we called wordly living but for me not to much hard cos i grow up to a christian family and friends.. Sometimes theres a feeling i also wanna be like them seems injoyable but looking the type of life they have its only short time happiness its fake but having Jesus in you your secured you have peace and joy that whatever happens your in totally at peace…life has a meaning not like before… Whatsoever n to afraid to die?
If you are a true Crhistian you are free and in peace. Free from the past and free from the future. Free from holding grudges and hate.
In the fleshly mind that is SOMEWHAT true. But spiritually speaking, things will be more personal with our Lord and just ONE visit with him is greater than anything!
Each and every time I’ve felt his presence it was a “once in a lifetime” feeling that will never be forgotten!
A christian is never lonely
John 14:16 – 19, 26
A Christian is never lonely. On the contrary… he becomes very rich by God’s word and is never satisfied anymore by the world ??
True Christian is one whose faith is Christ alone. Far too often in faith id actually in ilother things. What you can’t live without is actually you God. Then their is cultural Christianity. Just window dressing.
Ravenhill was a true gem. A very sweet man and preacher of the good news.
Christians have Brothers/Sisters.. growup –> ur lonely by choice?
A lonely life???? I’m not gonna live a lonely life, God made us to be social and that’s what I’ll be.
#Fellowship
It is right.
True Christian (s) is he who deny himself (all his/her desires) and following Christ Jesus with all of their heart. By listening God’s words, obeying onto Him, … etc.
# Self-denying in Christ#
I’m going to borrow that one.
I essentially agree except for the higher more dedicated fellow believers that you companion with ‘that stay closer than a brother”
in this life it gets narrower & narrower, then after life in Heaven it’s too wide & broad to comprehend.
We have experienced that the more closely we walk in sanctification and truth, the smaller our circle of friends becomes. Although we are not alone due to the presence of Christ, our human side experiences loneliness and isolation at times. It’s not easy, don’t try to make it anything but what it is. Fellowship plays a vital part of our spiritual walk. Nurture those relationships, e grateful for those who come along side you!
It’s very true
