Why would atheists have an argument for the resurrection?

The swoon theory. An old theory you can plug into google and see the book and author. The belief that Jesus was near death on the cross (swooned) and was never dead and the stone was placed in front of the tomb and no body was found. Jesus slipped away and was nursed back to health.

Just because someone wrote something doesn’t mean it’s true.

He never experienced the resurrection power of Christ in his life. Truth is only empherically verifiable according to them.

What DO you say when for the most part we don’t think His second coming is a real thing. We’re not even looking forward to it. With COVID, we’re looking forward to business as usual instead of what it COULD be.
What CAN we say to convince an atheist when His return is not ever on the radar? Christians don’t even want to acknowledge the ENTIRE chapter of Matthew 24. And The Revelation of Jesus Christ may as well not even be there.

Using cause and effect logic starting from the end of the time line and working the claim backwards you can disseminate the information as plausible or debunk it.
The question therefore remains
“Why would the Apostles give Thier lives for a lie?”
“How did Christianity explode in Jerusalem after the resurrection?”
Explain Acts 2:14-24 as Peter is speaking to those that would have known Jesus had or had not ridden from the dead (something like that doesn’t really go unnoticed).
Explain the Gospel of Matthew being written to the very Jews in Jerusalem during the time if those that would have witnessed the life, death, and resurrection of Christ and the following explosion of Christianity.The ONLY plausible explaination is that Jesus did rise from the dead.
Lieing to those that witnessed the event themselves doesn’t produce these results. -
The most common by far is some form of hallucinations.
Basically, it goes like this:
1. After Jesus died, Peter was struck with grief and depression, as well as guilt for denying Christ
2.after a while of meditation and pondering, Peter began to feel the presence of Jesus, feel a sense of forgiveness.
3.Peter interpreted this as Jesus speaking to him, assuring him that he was alive and raised from the dead. Peter got excited and eventually went to the other disciples, telling them he had seen Jesus. They also got into a religious mindset and begin to have visions of Jesus resurrected.
3.Paul, I persecuted the church, secretly admired the Christians and felt guilty that he was persecuting them. This is why he had a hallucination of Jesus on the Damascus road, to project his guilt over Christians.
4. Christians began to believe Jesus had risen from the dead, and as time went on stories grew mentioning an empty tomb.5. Much later on, the stories evolved into full-blown tales of Jesus being physically present, with people being able to touch and feel it him
That is how many critical scholars nowadays

Now in the gospel, Jesus has risen from the dead and the immediate witnesses were those Roman soldiers who guarded the Jesus tomb, so how do we argue with those Jewish people at present that to believe in this factual Resurrection story? Those guards were paid in huge ransom amount as written in order not to tell the truth to the people and so they lied and till today that covered story turned into a true story and yet not true.

Show me the body of Christ. If anyone had a reason to turn the world upside down to find it, it was Pilot and the Sanhedrin at the time of the crucifixion. It is obvious from Biblical and extra-Biblical sources that it was never found.

One needs to have an experience with the divine in order to believe in it. The Resurrection is based on faith. I doubt anyone could convince an atheist with an argument or debate.
