Do you rebuke Satan?
Do you rebuke Satan?
What have you got against Satan? Can you name a specific crime he did?
Does Michael the Archangel?
Some of these posts are weird. I don’t care for that.
If Jesus did, why wouldnāt I?
I haven’t seen him in a while, but if I do…
Why rebuke satan when he’s been defeated already?
What you should be doing is learning to walkin the spirit so you dont fall victim to the schemes of the devil.
John Lappin I don’t speak to Satan. I believe we should pray to God to rebuke Satan. Only if a demon or Satan materializes in front of someone, should they speak to the being. At that time you would rebuke Satan in Jesus name. Anything else in my mind is praying “essentially” to that being. This may not be a popular thought process though.
I rebuke specific spirits during ministry, not Satan yet.
No I just remember the cross and resurection
No. Would have no effect. It’s doubtful he personally has an interest in me anyway.
I do
Yes, you would have to ignore scripture to not understand that our war is against evil and we have authority over it.
No. The Lord rebukes
Jude 1:9
[9]Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, THE LORD REBUKE THEE.
I let God rebuke him instead (Jude 9).
Keep your eyes on the Saviour. Give him your attention. Do not focus on Satan. Worked for me!!
?? I find it hard to believe fairytales..
No. You might say ” The Lord rebuke you” though.
Yes!
God’s Word is the most powerful rebuke against Satan.?
The Magisterium didnāt give us lay exorcisms for nothing
No THE LORD REBUKE YOU
Why the need to do that for I want to understand?
At baptism godparents ārenounceā the devil, God rebukes.
Get out of my life Satan in Jesus’ name!
“Resist …. the devil, and he shall flee.” Therefore, what then are you to be ARMED with, but by …. the Holy Blood of the Lamb and by …. the Holy Word of the Living God, Who is our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.
8 “Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses (who was standing for God’s Holy Truth), so do these …. also resist the Truth: men of corrupt …. minds, …. reprobate (cast off) ….concerning …. the faith.
9 But …. they shall proceed no further: for their folly …. shall be manifest …. unto all men, …. as their’s also …. was.
10 But thou hast fully known …. my doctrine (teachings), manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, charity, patience, 11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: …. but out of them all …. the Lord delivered me.
12 Yea, and all …. that will live godly …. in Christ Jesus …. shall suffer persecution.
13 But …. evil men and seducers …. shall wax (grow) worse and worse, deceiving, and …. being deceived.
14 But …. continue …. thou in the things …. which thou hast learned and …. hast been assured of, knowing of Whom …. thou hast learned them;
15 And that from a child …. thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, …. which are able …. to make thee wise …. unto salvation …. through faith …. which is in …. Christ Jesus.” – https://www.openbible.info/topics/rebuking_the_devil
The best way to handle the Satan issue is to ask God to bind Satan. God is sovereign and He alone has final authority. Remember that God allowed access by Satan to Job and sent an evil spirit to torment King Saul. He also sent a deceiving spirit to prompt a king in the wrong direction. It’s best to be obedient to God and to ask Him to bind the enemy.
No i cuddle with him daily. Also we make enchilada parties !?
In Jesus Name
What does the bible say …… now you have your answer next question
No, the Lord rebukes the devil in Jesus name. We cannot rebuke him, but he may be rebuked by the Lord in Jesus name.
Yes in the name of Yeshua Jesus Amen ??
I absolutely do!
I have been attacked many times in my life, and knowing that my rebuking makes him and his dark principalities flee, shows my strength in believing God’s Word is a living lamp to me!
And the best way is to quote Scripture.
1. We put on the whole armour of God.
2. Wrestle against principalities and powers.
3. Resist the devil
4. Do not give him any foothold
5. Declare the victory of Jesus over the devil
6. Ask God to help you and teach you
7. Ask God to deliver you
from evil one
8. Identify temptations. With God’s help overcome it.
We have to first draw near to GOD
Not even Michael, the Archangel, rebuked Satan, but called on God to do it.
And I’m no Michael.
Always
Rebuking Satan is not our responsibility. Michael even said, āMay the Lord rebuke you!ā, refusing to bring an spoken accusation against Satan. (Jude 1:9) Since we are lower than the angels, what arrogant pride do we have for thinking we have the liberty to do what even an arch angel would not dare to do?
With my baptismal vows, spoken on my behalf by my godparents, I “rebuke satan and all his works and all his pomps.” Since then I have renewed those vows as an adult.
I tried for years – it didnāt work. I shouted scripture after scripture in my warfare. It was only when I actually believed that I was the righteousness of God in Christ – despite my sinful thoughts – that I experienced freedom ?ā¤ļø
Satan, I could rebuke 24/7 & that wouldn’t scare him 1 bit. Same as holy water, crosses etc.
But by putting on the full armour of God, (Ephesians 6:11) &
resisting him as in (James 4:7), he has to flee.
Jesus never binded Satan in His temptations in the wilderness.
He spoke the Word because He is the Word in flesh, (John 1:14) & stood His ground. No retreat, no surrender.
Job is an example of not surrendering.
Satan will then leave you alone for a little while but will return another day & another battle. When he does, find it a good thing. It’s because you are doing right in this journey of life with your walk with God.
He isn’t going to bully anyone he already controls.
Question for question
They are Parallel, it Answers itself.
Do you agree with evil?
Yes we rebuke satan
In blood of Jesus
Nope , but we can resist him, and heāll flee!
Not usually. I spend enough time rebuking myself.
To the devil we resist to him and he will flee..
To the world we should have faith
To the flesh we stand firm
Yes, you rebuke him in Jesus name
