   Pentecostals used the Scofield Bible because it was the closest thing to them at that time. However later, Finis Dake wrote his notes in a Bible that he published. Since Dake was Assembly of God, only later for a brief time was he with the Church of God, after which he went independent. Many Pentecostal minister then began to use Dake’s Bible. However, a great portion of Pentecostal ministers used the Thompson Chain Reference Bible.
