Loran Livingston and Ezekiel 3: 16-21, preached Oct.,9,2016, has had 4,012 views on Youtube
Although Bro. Livingston has said in another sermon, “that we need to get out of the Old Testament.”. He treats this passage as if what God is saying, is directly to him and to the people of today.
Then he adds that “ God will allow extremists to fly planes into tall buildings and kill thousands, to get our attention and to warn us to repent.” Next he says that God will allow the shooting of small children in schools to get our attention, because God loves people and nations.”
I find this a startling statement. Surely no parent I know would wipe out some of his children just to get the attention of his other children. A God of love would not seem to solve problems in this manner.
I give Bro L. much credit for giving leadership in building this large congregation but in listening to several of his sermons I find many self contradictions either in his actual statements or in the logic of the way he puts his thoughts together. Yet to be a spokesman, as he is, for the CoG would seem to put a lot of responsibility on him to get things right.
No one seems to mind though, his listeners defend his every statement as the very word of God

I’ve never heard of him. Where does he pastor ?
I found people in my home church to abhor any preaching about the love of God or the grace of God but they would shout, dance, and speak in tongues when listening to messages about God frying people in hell!
If young children get shot, and God didn’t stop it, did he allow it?
1Co 10:26 For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.
God is a God of love.
He is also a God of judgement and wrath.
God is a God of patience and He is longsuffering.
God is a God who allows freewill.
God is a God who will leave man to his own devices and sear consciences as well as turn them over to reprobate minds.
With God overseeing it, and allowing man free will,
It might not be able to be said that He did it, but you can say He used it to get our attention.
Think on this one
Romans 9:17-23
For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
Daniel 4:34-35
34 At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever.
His dominion is an eternal dominion;
his kingdom endures from generation to generation.
35 All the peoples of the earth
are regarded as nothing.
He does as he pleases
with the powers of heaven
and the peoples of the earth.
No one can hold back his hand
or say to him: “What have you done?”
Jim Price is no longer COG
The listeners defend him because they too are Church of God.
