Members deserve to know, since it their money that supports all salaries !!!!

Most churches keep people in the dark, we have only gone to 2 that gave full disclosure every quarter. The last church we attended we gave large amounts not realizing he was a complete fraud, never again!!!

In the very near future we are going to see the taxation of churches. Maybe this won’t be such a bad idea just because of all the abuses I have seen.

I would rather see the 50 and under congregation’s pastors paid well!

Would anyone on here complain about the salary if you were the one receiving it. If the pastors of churches under 50 had the responsibility of the overseer then they would deserve the salary. I believe a servant is worthy of his hire.

My guess is way over 100,000. 35 years ago I was told the State overseer of Ohio made $70,000 plus was given a house to live in.

(My husband is a bi-vocational pastor and he works very hard at both positions.) We are blessed with both opportunities. Whether we got a dime from the church or not, we would still do the work of the ministry and give it our all. And it doesn’t bother us that some who work in the ministry are full time and get good salaries. We are all blessed by God!

I once confirmed that a state overseer (not the national) in Mexico was paid 5000 dls (yes IN DOLLARS!!) a month. This was 20 years ago.

We have never had a problem with the State Overseer not coming to our church. Our church is on the Texas state camp grounds. Our church was built many years ago for the retired minister’s that lived on the camp grounds.
