How many took Personal Evangelism class at Lee College under Sister Avis Swiger? She was a missionary for many years in the CoG. She shared many missionary stories that I can recall even today. She was a precious jewel of a saint. Of course, when she taught at Lee, she was white headed. I remember she got on to our colleague and good friend Mike Chapman, who currently pastors the CoG in Chattanooga, TN because he wore sandals into the class. What a wonderful woman of God. She also required us to memorize 134 scripture verses. Our theme was “AND HE THAT WINNETH SOULS IS WISE.” I still have my little notebook with all those scripture verses. I used the same verses when I taught at World Evangelism Bible College & Seminary in Baton Rouge, LA as well as our Miracle Valley Bible College here in Arizona. When some students tend to think it is impossible to memorize so many scripture verses, I always tell them that I know they can because I did it. LOL

Yes I had her in Old Testament studies.

Margaret Gaines did a wonderful work in Israel, both in Jerusalem and Abud. I visited her work in Abud but she was in the USA raising funds at that time.

I took Evangelism 101 from her and made the little note book with the scripture location on one side and the verse on the back. Seems like we memorized 100+ verses.

Bob Bailey, if you got the same scripture verses as the rest of us, then you memorized 134 verses. Lol. God bless you my brother.
