From my local church I have many favorites ministers and here are two of them Garland Griffis (Father of David Griffis) and Lambert Delong.
In the middle fifties Bro Griffis was our pastor and Lambert Delong, a local member of the church was a long time missionary of Germany and Europe. Both these men impacted my life and I am enriched by them.

Are they both still alive?
Yes. Garland is in a Chattanooga retirement community
Lambert ‘ s wife passed away and he has remarried

Bro Griffis, bricked a large garage by the church and it was made into a church annex for the young people. That was during school vacation and I assisted him in carrying brick and mortar. He was a lot of fun to be with. Bro Delong had shipped him a 1958 Mercedes with four on the column. He let me drive it around the church and that was a great thrill.
