Urge Amazon to Cancel Inappropriate Commercial. Amazon offends conservative parents in a back-to-school commercial. An actor walks in front of a school surrounded by children and says, “As parents, we pay out the (school bell rings) for school.” The ringing bell covers profanity, but viewers can read his lips and understand what was said. This is entirely unnecessary.

Sickening! Travis Doss, the Las Vegas man who beat and locked his children in cages, bragged about owning exotic cars, spending wads of cash and pimping while his family starved and lived in squalor. Doss, a wannabe rapper who goes by the stage name “Trap Montana,” used his music and social media posts to boast about spending “bricks” of cash and living a “hustler” lifestyle. Doss’ 11-year-old, who was locked in the cage with his 9-year-old sibling, was severely beaten and emaciated. Doss is facing multiple charges of child abuse and charges of sex trafficking and “living off the earnings of a prostitute” in a separate criminal case. His pregnant girlfriend, mother of one of the six children aged 2-11, was also charged.

Op-ed from Fox News: It’s not climate change that’s causing heat waves this summer but no one wants to explain why. In fact, the best available evidence suggests that heat waves recorded a century ago were more problematic than anything we’re seeing today. According to data from the U.S. Climate Change Science Program, which is made available by the Environmental Protection Agency, the annual heat wave index for the contiguous 48 states was substantially higher in the 1930s than at any point in recent years. In some years in the 1930s, it was four times greater or even more. The ugly truth behind climate alarmism is that much of it is driven by a radical ideological agenda that is seeking to transform the global economy and American society, not by science.
United States: Dangerous heat to “engulf” much of the eastern half of the US as extreme temps spread from Midwest into Northeast and mid-Atlantic where some residents will see hottest temps of the year. Night temps forecast to stay hotter than usual, prompting excessive heat warnings from Plains to East Coast. On Thursday, nearly 200 million people (60% of U.S. population) were under a heat advisory or flood warning or watch. Prediction for continued excessive heat comes a day after World Meteorological Organization and European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service declared July 2023 hottest month on record. Manmade climate change is blamed, but Christians who know the Bible and its prophecy know it’s not manmade.

China: One down, another coming: China faces two typhoons in one week. Khanun is predicted to arrive by Tuesday.
Afghanistan: Severe flash floods leave 31 dead, 600 homes damaged or destroyed.
Greece: Fire Rages, 19,000 Evacuated from Island of Rhodes. Extreme heat is making conditions unfavorable for firefighting, and another heat wave is forecast to arrive soon.
Algeria: Widespread forest fires wreak havoc; 34 confirmed dead, 26 injured. Fires were fueled by strong winds and an intense heatwave.
India: Extreme rainfall shatters all records in Telangana; Chityal receives massive 616.5 mm (24.3 inches) in 24 hours.
Typhoon Doksuri: In Taiwan, officials reported one death and 68 injuries from torrential rains and flooding north of Doksuri’s path. In the Philippines, torrential rains and associated flooding, landslides, and downed trees led to at least 13 deaths. In addition, 26 people were killed when a ferry when a passenger boat capsized in gusty winds and rough seas. In China, Doksuri caused damages, and Tropical Storm Khanun is expected to arrive by Tuesday (Aug 1).
