When Leonard Carroll was General Overseer of the CoG in the 1970s, he wrote several articles in the CoG Evangel, FROM THE GENERAL OVERSEER. I still have a good number of the CoG Evangels that he wrote in my collection. He stated that there were those among us (referring to the CoG) that were not of us. Furthermore, they were trying to change the CoG. At that time, I could never understand what he was saying because to me, everyone was CoG. However, 12-15 years later, and even more so today, I fully understand his writings. He had insight that others did not have. So Bro Charles Page posed his question, “When did it creep in?” I would say as early as the early 1970s when Leonard Carrol was G.O.

I have letters that a SC CoG evangelist wrote to the the overseer and state overseer in the 70s with those concerns.

I guess many never wanted women to wear make up and slacks so is this the liberalism you are speaking of?
