These people in this picture would not believe where they are standing if they saw it 67 years later!

This is Rosamond Avenue Church of God in Memphis Tennessee located at Macon and Jackson Avenue at the junction of I-240 interchange connected to the mighty I-40 corridor.

500 people gathered in the early 50s outside the church for a photo.

    The Church under Pastor Edmond Stallings sold the property on Rosamond Ave and built further out on the outskirts of Memphis on Whitten Road about 1972. The Church was then called Whitten Heights COG.

    Rosamond Ave Baptist Church at the same location as the COG. It is a City mission church with outreach facilities across the street. It is a multi-racial church reaching the Blacks, Hispanics as well as the white community.
