Delmar C. Barnes, B.A., was an instructor at Bible Training School 1943-1948. During this time he taught courses on Logic, Philosophy, Theology, Sociology, and Religious Education. He attended Bible Training School and the University of Florida, but received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee. Through his six years at BTS, he was the sponsor of the Ministerial Association.
In 1945 he served as the speaker on The Church of God Hour, which was BTS’s weekly radio program on WNOX Knoxville, Tennessee. Also in 1945 he sponsored the Boys’ Athletic Club. He preached at the school at least once that year.
In 1946 he served as announcer for the Radio Choir, which both traveled and broadcast over the radio. He also served as Faculty Advisor for the Student Council.
He was described in the Vindagua as having a “cheerful disposition and shrewd wit.”
