Church of God missionary leads a group to an Islamic Center in Chattanooga to denounce Christian Islamaphobia. Particularly he singles out Pentecostals/charismatics.

“”Pax Pneuma believes it is especially necessary to confess the ways that those within our religion and in our specific movement have harmed you.”

President of the Islamic Center of Greater Chattanooga, Issa spoke with Rick Waldrop, a coordinator with Pax Pneuma of Greater Chattanooga, a six-month-old fellowship of Pentecostals and Charismatics for peace and justice in Cleveland, Tenn.

    Rick Waldrop was the chief spokesman on the GA 2014 general council opposing the resolution of the COG support of Israel. He was opposed to the way the resolution was worded and he was the reason the resolution was tabled, modified and presented after the assembly.

    Pax Pneuma is not to my knowledge an official arm of the COG but it does have an indirect link to the Pentecostal Theological Seminary.

    I don’t understand the apologetic mood towards godless pagan religions. We are to go and preach the Good News of Christ, not apologize for how they’ve been treated in the past.

    Part of the Good News is to reconcile with those who have divided. Forgiveness is the Gospel.

    Are you serious? I was a COG missionary and knew him. I consider him a friend. Sadly, it’s as simple as the question, “What does light have to do with darkness?… Ecumenicalism!!!!

    I guess they have forgotten the message we used to preach…. Come ye out from among them…
    You cannot reason or sympathize with a demonic religion….
