What is ARC? (Association of Related Churches)
As I understand it ARC is a fast growing church group that started a fast growing Church under the nose of Raymond Culpepper in Birmingham, Alabama.

Why would the COG make an agreement with them other than to slow the departure of churches into an affiliate movement. A church that refuses to surrender its title and property deeds to the denomination.

There are already pastors, administrative bishops, on the Executive Council who pastor affiliate churches. Churches that the denomination does not hold the property deeds.

Can someone elaborate or shed some light on this.

Cleveland, TN–In a formal ceremony this morning at the International Offices, the Church of God and the Association of Related Churches (ARC) of Birmingham, Alabama, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) which sets in place a strategic partnership for planting churches.

  1. Interesting but probably worth a shot as most state leaders in the
COG have little practice in identifying and training church planters.

  2. Charles, just wondering how they plan to help the many small churches, established for a long time, but through neglect of various types, are barely keeping the doors open?

The smaller churches are not a problem as long as they report tithes of tithes at end of month
