Worship leaders today hate to HAVE to sing out of the ol Red Back hymnal. I noticed that at this years GA. It is plain that the majority come alive with the old songs. But after a few old songs they move into the Christian hip-hop (I am hip and I am hoping)

Then look at the congregation and see who is singing. The congregation is watching the stage performance and the performers are deeply involved in self-gratification. Even the Holy Ghost watches and he never falls in a worship service.

They don’t like the old gospel favorites.

That’s what I grew up and thats what I’ll always sing and play. Love those old anointed songs of zion.

I said it once I’ll say it again, there is NO anointing on that new stuff.the sad thing is they don’t realize it.

Our Sunday morning service lasted 2 1/2 hours this week. We were singing Anointed Praise music that Steve Holder arranged (newer choruses) and the power of the Holy Ghost fell. The altars were full of people being ministered to and others seeking more of God. I don’t think it really matters whether it is an old or new song. What matters is what do the people feel more comfortable worshiping with. The younger people don’t even know what “bringing in the sheaves” or some of the terminology in the older songs mean. Just like some of the older people don’t understand the beat of the new songs. If people are in unity in their worship to our Holy Awesome God, the Spirit of God will show up. God wants to bless His people and inhabit our praise. So many times we get our eyes off the King of kings and get side tracked with things that we aren’t use to. Instead of our eyes being on God, our eyes are on flesh which hinders the moving of the Holy Spirit. God is moving in these end times, and people who have their eyes on others instead of on God will miss this last days revival.
