I recall as a young teenager we had an evangelist Donald Combs (about 19 or 20 years old at the time) preach a revival at our local Church of God. He drove an old 1948 Chevrolet convertible. The only way it started was to be pushed. I will never forget that last Sunday revival service. Along with several others, we pushed his old car out of the parking lot. He let off the clutch and that old black 48 Chevy started right up. One thing I really remember that day was when that young evangelist, holding onto his Bible, raised it in the air and shouted a praise to the Lord. I would have given anything in the world if I could have gone with him in that old car to his next revival. Many an evangelist of that era did not have much of this world’s goods, but they certainly had the power and the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
