Ive noticed that the tv preachers never use the Bible. They dont read from it – they walk back and forth tell jokes, stories and give out therapy advice but no scriptures.

Never put it past a church to indulge atrocity. Vast immorality and desecration has plagued churches since the first century. Good ordained churches like those of Asia Minor in John’s viewing. Beware, be watchful, and be a witness.

In the ancient times, they used to get trained to speak in public. That was a skill that was very important to connect with your audience. So yes, every preacher should train and practise to connect with his audience. However, it must be united with biblical substance and sound understanding of biblical texts.
Anyone who answers this ad do not know the lord Jesus and His Father at all. A new bible college graduate might go for it not understanding thats a trap .
They would have done themselves a far better service to meet on Sundays and midweeks and just take turns to read passages of Scripture and pray.
I don’t understand why you would hire someone to preach someone else’s sermons word for word. If you like Andy Stanley’s sermons, watch his videos.

What if the material is solid and from a respected source?
It’s more of a facilitating role but if it’s an alternative to some of the aforementioned “pastors” why not?
Of course the individual should pursue more in depth training but in the meantime take the position.
Is this not what is done in third world countries where highly trained individuals are not readily available?

Give it to them. It’s what they are accustomed to, unknowingly deceived by, and love.
