Cpt.2 picks parts of 1 to extrapolate. Verbs and nouns are just that. It’s didactic literature. -

I believe one can be saved by an understanding of the Gospel as articulated within the Gospel of John, alone. I do believe that a thorough understanding of Genesis 1-3 enhances one’s understanding of God’s purposes in Time and it is Genesis 3:15 and Genesis 3:21 that explains the Gospel in its totality if one reads with eyes of understanding through the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Although I believe in a literal interpretation of Genesis 1-3, I would disagree that it is essential to believe this in order to be genuinely born-again. When I was saved I believed in Evolution, but from studying the Scriptures as a redeemed child of God, I learned my belief in Evolution conflicted with God’s Word. After much study, I abandoned my views on Evolution and hold quite confidently to Creationism.
The Holy Spirit illumines the minds of God’s beloved as He opens their minds more and more to the truths of His Word. Further Biblical knowledge follows conversion. Even though Evolution and the Old Earth theory is contrary to God’s truth, I would caution not to put such conditions of conformed thinking for a person’s redemption.

Well, I think the point is that if the fall is not literal, then how is the curse literal, and how is Adam’s headship as the head of the race not literal as Jesus’ head of the race for salvation is:
KJV Romans 5:12 – “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

A literal solid relationship with Jesus and belief in the inerrant, though sometimes allegorical, Bible as the center of your life is necessary for salvation. It’s like arguing about the color of Jesus’s robes when the point is are you seeing Jesus??
