Looking at the scripture in context gives us the meaning:
The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.
And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.P.S. Scriptures weren’t originally written separating them into odd bits that don’t make sense. It is my view that this was done by the RCC to make it easier to cloud the understanding of the laity.

Avoid any so-called wisdom beyond that which is mentioned in verses 10-11, “the words of the wise…. are given from one shepherd. And anything beyond these, my son, be warned.”
There is no end to the godless wisdom of man. This goes with the main theme of Ecclesiastes (all things done under the sun is vanity). Much study of godless “wisdom” will only produce exhaustion.
