Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. [9] Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.

Take care with anyone that comes up with a new understaning of Scripture that no one has thought of before. It’s not impossible that they are right, but be discerning, and test it against the whole Bible. Jesus doesn’t change, and most of His teachings are straightforward (although not always “easy” to live out). Most “new teachings” will be at best “of no benefit”–some will be downright harmful.
