# **Atheistic logic:** *“Buy a Bible and don’t read it, you’ll become a Catholic. Buy a Bible and only read what suits you and you’ll be an evangelical. Buy a Bible, read it fully, analyze it, reason it, and you will be an atheist.”*
# **Response to the atheist…**
# When one reads the Scriptures seeking atheism…they will remain an atheist. If one reads the Scriptures with a heart that seeks God, they will find God. It’s not words on the pages of Scripture that changes lives, it’s the heart of the one consuming those words and the Holy Spirit that comes alongside the humble, desperately seeking and guides them into the deeper truths hidden within the richness of Scripture where life and truth and hope and knowledge and wisdom and peace are found (Jeremiah 29:11-13). It is here where Heaven and Earth meet and lives are redeemed unto God through Jesus Christ as Lord by the power and tutelage of the Holy Spirit (1 John 2:27).
# The atheist remains an atheist subsequent to reading the Bible because they are Satan’s fool and they are rooted in demonic naturalism and they are blinded by their rebellion (2 Corinthians 4:4); unfortunately, this is why the Atheist is headed to death in sin (John 8:24) and the “second death” in Hell (Revelation 20:11-15)…they have chosen to reject what they intuitively know to be Truth because they love their sexual perversion, their abortions, their narcissism, this lost and dying World, more than God’s Truth and God’s promises (Romans 1:18-32).
# *“There are honest doubters and dishonest doubters. An honest doubter is willing to search out the truth and live by the results; a dishonest doubter doesn’t want to know the truth. He can’t find God for the same reason a thief can’t find a policeman.”* Adrian Rogers

I was a catholic. I started reading the bible searching for more as RCCism is just a bunch of motions and no God. I found God within the pages of scripture and jesus led me to a saving grace with Him. I then became a Christian and the holy spirit called me away from the RCC. When you have Jesus you have it all. Catholics being religious cant see relationships.. ? But I care for catholics and want to see them won to christ. My 5 brothers and sisters and their families and a sister iin laws parents have all become Christians..

I read the Bible, all of it, and became an evangelical, but then there are different kinds of evangelical.

  12. Bruce Venable says:

I was an atheist and tried to read the Bible and it made absolutely no sense to me. I Tried reading it and understanding it for about 2 weeks and then I was ready to give up and then God revealed to me that the Bible is truth.
After that when I would read the Bible it would be like a light would be turned on in my brain I would actually see light. God started giving me understanding of his word a little at a time. It was amazing. I couldn’t get enough of it.

I became a Christian reading the whole old testament.

  16. Jesse Johnson says:

I’ve seen more atheists read just enough Bible to confirm their bias. They’re bad about reading things into it that it doesn’t even say.

  17. Daniel Feher says:

The bible sounds foolishness because it is foolishness.

One question, how is it possible that Joshua stopped the sun, meaning the earth stops spinning for a while knowing the consequences this would have on our earth?

  18. Toni Armstrong says:

As a non believer or before I knew God although (obviously he was calling me) I could not make head nor tail what the scriptures were saying. When I was born again my eyes were opened and I couldn’t get enough of it 35 years later I still can’t get enough of it

Praise God that is wonderful news.

  20. Oluwafisayo Olatunji says:

Thomas was a honest doubter. Thamos on the other hand is a 21st dishonest doubter. After seeing the nailed scarred hands and other evidences, he said it’s only my hallucinations. It’s all made-up!

In John 14:17 Jesus said, “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

  24. Richard Carson says:

I disagree with the points because “reading the Bible to find God and you’ll find God” suggests that it is a psychological trick of the mind. I think what you mean to say is ‘If you read the Bible to find Truth (the Logos), you will find God”. God is a transcendent, eternal, supreme, self-existent, all-powerful being regardless what we want to believe or discover of Him.

We can believe anything we want, but it doesn’t make anything we believe true. We must pursue truth and we’ll arrive at God.

The Atheist does not pursue truth because their Worldview comes pre-loaded with the rejection of the supernatural despite any evidence to the contrary. They stay Atheist because they have hidden the objection within their apriori assumptions.

  25. James Rollins says:

Yes..man’s reason falls so far short of God that is exactly what would happen! But the part where God does His part to enlighten man’s mind and soul and then you have a saved evangelical, atheist, or Catholic.

  26. Mieke Prinsloo says:

Anybody wanting to see an “honest doubter” In action, read a book called “Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus” by Nabeel Qureshi. Amazing to see apologetics in action to such a degree

  27. Monica Infante Bartsch-Bersales says:

    “The Lord weighs the heart.”
    – means people have different conditions of their hearts. Much like biases, these paradigms operate in full mode unless you truly seek the truth and fully surrender to it.

  28. Toni Armstrong says:

    Hebrews 11:6
[6]But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The athetist do not understand what they read
