Why should we take efforts to read and study the Bible and teach others ? What do we lose if we chose not to ?

I’m not sure from what perspective you are asking this.
I think you lose a lot.
I don’t think our faith was designed to be stagnant and kept to ourselves. I come to this conclusion by
– the example of Jesus, and second to that, the example of the apostles and early church
– the repeated emphasis to spread the word (the great Commission, setting example to non-believers, 1 Peter 3:15 etc.)
– and lastly, the command to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. If you do this, you’d surely be acting out God’s purposes.
Thing is
I got all this from the Bible ????
My point is I think we are given purpose in life, which comes from God, and received significantly from His Word. -
That’s like asking, ‘Why should I take my husband/wife out for a lovely dinner? What would I lose if I didn’t?’ To spend time in the Bible and prayer is to spend time with God, and we should see it, firstly, as a great joy rather than a duty.
But secondly, our walk with God is the most important part of our lives, and we are called to grow in holiness, maturity, wisdom, joy, love, knowledge etc. Without this we will live deflated half-lives with God.
So the question becomes, do you want to enjoy a joy-filled, vibrant, growing, living walk with God, is God your greatest treasure (to quote John Piper) or are you content to live a life with God on the sidelines – the very place He should never be?

That’s the real question. How can you choose not to if you really love God? -
You will be more susceptible to satans attacks if you don’t immerse yourself in scripture.

The irony is, studying the Bible gives us the answer.
1 Corinthians 3:9-15 indicates that it is possible to be “barely saved”.

God does the saving. In his sovereignty he decides which vessel is for honor and which vessel is for dishonor. By his grace and wisdom he has decided to use us for the work of discipleship. He doesn’t need us. He uses us. Why does he use us? That’s God’s business. We are to be obedient and discern the work he has for us.

Reading the Bible cleans the soul and strengthens your faith against the day of temptation and trial. We are not binary machines – we need to grow. God loves us, and He wants us to grow in knowledge of Himself in order to develop relationship.

Simple answer. I think if you need to ask yourself why you need to do it then you’re already wrong.
It’s a natural response to our love for God to want to study His word.
Naturally this means we’ll want everyone else to know the Good News too!! ?

God’s words is God’s seal.

God’s Word is fully sufficient to prepare us for everything the Bible commands us to do. The Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to transform us into Christ-likeness.
We should read and study the Bible because there is so much false teaching

You asked several/many times, “isn’t that enough.” Well have you received all from God that you want? Have you got all you want/need from your Lord?
For me (and it’s the way the Word of God works) every time I dwell with God in His Word I find/am shown something new. Maybe it’s a matter of curiosity; but I read passages with ever increasing understanding. Even though it comes little by little over a long time.
It is amazing that one can open their Holy Bible, and words seem to leap off the page.

If you don’t read the Bible you aren’t Christian. Seriously, it’s the word of God, how can you be truly Christian and not desire enough to do it. That’s not a question.

How are you going to know when someone lies to you about scripture if you don’t know what scripture says? Matthew 28:19 is called the Great Commission because it commands us to go and tell others about Jesus so that they might be saved.

Hebrews 10:25, do not forsake the assembling of ourselves…..forsake is defined as to abandon, give up, reject or renounce. If you choose not to read/study the bible, you make the choice not to gain the very wisdom that God encourages us to find.
