2 Thessalonians 2:8-14 (KJV) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. In judgement God gives them over to their own desires, they refused to receive what He wanted for them, the truth of the word.

People who prefer to love sin and lies rather than gospel truth will receive severe, divine recompense, as do all sinners. God himself will send judgment that insures their fate in the form of a “strong delusion” so that they continue to believe what is false. They accept evil as good and a lie as the truth. Thus does God use Satan and Antichrist as his instruments of judgment

Whe you read it you see it’s exactly what God did to the pharaohs. You see it jn moses story. Becouse man was wicked. And in their own pride God did as described. Or allowed for it to happen. It was a punishment to wake people up and a warning not to mess with Gods people. But also a warning to Gods people about te dangerouse of their behavuor. As their is a consequence to everything.

In Romans Chapter 1 it says that those who don’t recognise the hidden things of God that are clearly seen by the things that are made will be given over to a Reprobate mind.

I have lived in the world for a time and I have served God and lived after His commands. Gods ways are good, perfect, wholesome, satisfying and I increasingly rewarding. The way of the world is complete opposite. Jesus said His yoke is easy and His burden is lite. I know this to be true.Sure their is the afterlife to be gained instead of eternal separation but a life lived His presence now is “righteous” .

No. In short the answer to that question is, if you won’t believe the truth the only thing left to believe is a lie. You have to understand the cause of the delusion.
This is the verse you speak of 2 Thessalonians 2:11
[11]And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:Now go read the prior verse and the following verse vs 10 an 12.
2 Thessalonians 2:10,12
[10]And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
[12]That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.Both verses show these people was presented truth 1st. Then they chose to deny that truth. Pushing them into a deeper denial. Or delusion. Same thing happened to pharaoh, he had 9 opportunities to accept the truth that the Hebrew God Yahweh, was all mighty and more powerful than he or the gods of Egypt was. After each plague seeing God’s power, he still denied the truth and refused to let the people go. So by God sending the plagues in some ways God did harden his heart, but the hardening came through denial of the truth therefore stuck believing the lie.

In that case the person rejected the truth and believed in a lie so in judgement God hands over that person to what the person wanted in the first place, to be received or to the spirit of deception

It is important to remember it is not God that is doing the lying here. God is not capable of lying. He is, however, forcing those that rebel to be unable to see through the lie of the coming pseudo-christ. From what I understand, it is better for them to continue believing the lie, than to understand the truth, and then reject it. That is one of the reasons Christ spoke in parables toward the end of his ministry.

God loves us so much that he will give us what we want…even if we don’t want Him! True love can’t be forcibly taken, it must be freely given. That is why He gave us free will. We can either choose to love and follow Jesus or not. I choose to follow Him!

The strong delusion was given to those who had already rejected God’s word. All one has to do is read the previous verse and come to the right conclusion. This historical event took place a few years after Paul proclaimed this prophetic word.

God has shown us what displeases Him from the beginning. He shows is mercy by providing a way of reconciliation. If we’re too full of pride and we don’t fear God and we don’t recognize our terrible error and we chose to continue in our evil folly in our hearts, then He’s not going to chase after us.
You see people in this group all the time who are so confident in their belief that they won’t even give God’s word a look to verify that it’s the truth. Even after someone warns them that what they believe is a lie according to the word. You can even show them how God’s word in the Bible corresponds to reality. They still want to go THEIR way, or Moma and Granny’s way.

Shall send.—The Greek has sendeth: so “is” in 2Thessalonians 2:9 : St. Paul sees it all going on before his eyes. “A strong delusion” should be “an effectual inward working of error”—no longer a mere indifference to truth, but a real influence of error upon their hearts. This inward work of error is sent “with a view to their believing the lie” (the Greek has the definite article)—the lie (that is) which Antichrist would have them believe.

It is a hard thing to accept that God wills to harden those whom He chooses. But this is a response to a response. He still holds out His right hand to those smitten by His left. Stop loving death then and choose life.

Its not deception. Read Romans 1:18 on. They already don’t believe the truth. Their disbelief leads them to grater delusion. It is the way God made us. If we reject him we end up wandering farther and farther from the truth. Our hearts tend to get harder.

In 2Thes. 2:11 God is not deceiving He is giving man what they desire. They did not believe, He is leaving them to their own desires

This is another one of those verses that is easily explained by looking at the context of the passage… And it’s important that we don’t try so hard to put ourselves into the Bible as a lot of false teachers do with their storytelling sermons…
