Church of God General Overseer Charles W. Conn (served 1966-1970) was born in Riverside GA on January 20, 1920. A son of Methodists, he came to know the Lord following a Church of God tent revival. He and his wife, Edna, had 12 children, and their son, Charles Paul Conn, penned about his parent’s spiritual influence, “They pointed me to God, but they never forced me toward Him, and gradually I found a way to get there on a path which I recognized as authentically mine. They lifted Christ up, and he drew me. When that happens, the faith of our fathers becomes our own.”
