It doesn’t say shut out truth and hold on to doctrines of men.

Do you have anything better to do than sit on Facebook all day and act like the Tithing Police. You are defiantly not the one to talk about shutting out truth when you don’t believe in the ministry of the “pastor”

>> Recently a person joined a Christian Facebook group I’m a member of, and as with other false teachers that have blown through that online gathering, did his best to deceive, mislead and teach his false doctrines. In this case, a claim that we, as Christians, are still under the Law of Moses; sometimes simply called “The Law.”
His argument was that Jesus said that the Law would not pass away until all be fulfilled, and all has not yet been fulfilled, therefore we are, as he claimed, “under the Law.”
“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” – Matthew 5:18, Jesus.
There are several key facts this false teacher did not understand, and was therefore deceived. Here are some important points he missed entirely…
>> 1. It is generally believed that Jesus fulfilled the Law upon going to the cross thus ending it; if not at the Crucifixion, then at His Resurrection. I can give you arguments for and against this theory, but that will have to be at another time. One thing is for sure; Jesus came to fulfill the Law, not to destroy it.
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” – Matthew 5:17-18
>> 2. The Law was referred to by God as “weak and unprofitable,” also in need of being replaced by a higher law; the Law of Christ (“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2)
“For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment [the Law] going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.” – Hebrews 7:18-19
Why would God include an element in the New Testament, which will be in affect for eternity, with nothing replacing it, with that which is “weak and unprofitable?” NOTHING in the New Testament is weak and unprofitable!
“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was ONCE [and for all] delivered unto the saints.” – Jude 1:3
>> 3. Jesus, in Matthew 5:17-18, was talking to Jews concerning the Law, Children of Israel, who were, at that time, under the Law. God has NEVER placed the Gentiles under the Law…
“He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord.” – Psalm 147:19-20
>> 4. And, here is an important point that the false teacher I referred to above simply did not understand, or was not willing to consider…
Whether or not the Law is still in effect or not, fulfilled or not, passed away or not, weak, unprofitable or not, IT DOESN’T MATTER; for our purposes as Christians living eternally under the the New Testament, the Word of God makes it VERY CLEAR; WE ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW, not under it no matter what condition the Law is currently in. Even if the Law of Moses was still 100% compulsory, obligatory, mandatory for someone; WE ARE NOT UNDER IT…
“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.” – Romans 10:4
“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” – Romans 6:14
Romans 7:6 – “But now we are DELIVERED FROM THE LAW, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.”
“Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.” – Galatians 3:24-25
Acts 15:24 – “Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave NO such commandment:”
I hope this has cleared up the confusion that many Christians have concerning the Law and Jesus’ comments on the Law.
Stand fast IN THE FREEDOM AND LIBERTY you have in Christ Jesus!…
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” – Galatians 5:1-4

Lol I touched a nerve. I get it. I know the answer but it’s funny watching you take the bait. You all did, so much that it’s consuming your thoughts that you keep posting and when your desire isn’t met you demand an answer. I don’t answer to your demands. Maybe you should remove the idols in your heart before trying to “correct” others.
