Concerning our basic approach to apologetics, I think we should differentiate between our “in house” Christian arguments and making a defense of the Christian faith. My understanding of apologetics is that it is the defense of the faith. One reason why CS Lewis was an effective apologist is because he understood and defended “mere Christianity.”

If I am defending the faith, I don’t think I need to get into issues with the sabbath , or which is the best Bible version, or is hell eternal, speaking in tongues, sovereignty or free will, inerrancy, the rapture, end times prophecy, modes of baptism, and a myriad of denominational differences.

I am not dogmatic or closed minded about this. I may be wrong. But at this point it is what I believe..
