Did you know we have Exactly the same reason to believe that the mark of the beast is 616 as we do that it us 666?
It is one of less than 40 issues in the new testament that we can not resolve with any certainty. Thankfully we do not need to know the exact never because this occurs in the day of the Lord. We will be long gone by then.

Okay, I’ve never heard of this. Can you give me scriptural proof of your statement regarding the number 616?

Yeah so the question is asking for proof that one is equal to the other or what have you.
the problem is that the contextual analysis itself
What we do when we go back is we look at which documents agree with which other documents we look at geographical data where the fragment or codex was found
We look at is there a lot of errors or there are a lot of small errors What language is it in all these different things.
So what happens with this particular passage is very very early on we’re talking late 2nd century or 3rd century There’s a deviation and we don’t know which one was first one and all the daughter manuscripts following or that were copied off of this very very early manuscript say 616 but in a different geographical region We have exactly the opposite and so we have no good reason to think it says 666 versus 616 they basically just pulled it out of a hat you know and said well it’s got to be one of the other so we’re going to go with this one.
The problem isn’t whether or not the scriptures are true It’s which one was written by John and we don’t have the autographed copy We don’t have the one he actually penned himself and therefore we don’t know which one’s true. -
Yehoshua, that is a nice name you have. It comes from Yahushua, Yod Heh Vav Shin Vav Ayin, meaning YHWH-our-salvation.
Anyway, we ourselves will live to see and face the day we choose to take the Mark or else be disallowed to buy and sell.
If the number does not give it away, that’s okay, we can recognize it because it will be worldwide – 1 world government, and the beast and the false prophet (who calls the beast “god”) will be pushing it and threatening those who don’t take it.
That will be a dead give-away.

I wouldn’t bank on some fast food eschatological doctrine like the pre-trib “rapture” fantasy. It comes from the western view that Christianity doesn’t involve suffering.

It’s figurative literature anyway and represents unbelief. And we know there is plenty of that going around and has been since Jesus.
