Do you have to prove the afterlife exists to prove Christianity?
Do you have to prove the afterlife exists to prove Christianity?
No, we don’t have to prove the afterlife. But we do point to the resurrection. In that there is evidence of our future.
The dead are in their graves. They know nothing. Jesus said He would resurrect the dead at the proper times.
One of the best lectures for conscious life after death Iv ever seen by the leading expert in this field Dr. Gary Habermas. Share this with your skeptic friends.
I can’t prove you exist
I love what Paul says about the resurrection of Christ and how if it were false we are to be the most pitiful beings on the planet to have known such hope and lost it
Anyone who can resurrect themselves has the final say on what is in the after life.
And Jesus is the resurrection… so… yeah, He’s the expert lol
This question automatically begs the greater question “Is there a literal heaven or hell?”
And from a completely logical perspective, I have to conclude that there is definitely a literal heaven and a literal horrendous hell.
How do I arrive at this conclusion?
Well, after gathering all the evidence I could for the existence of God, and after much study in the Bible, I see no other alternative than God fully explains how we got here. And how nature works to show the design of the Creator.
But the final evidence that sealed the debate was Jesus.
No one can rightly deny that Jesus more than just a man. Prophecy points out Jesus in hundreds of Old Testament scriptures written hundreds of years before the birth of Christ.
But prophecy also points out that Jesus came for a specific reason—to seek and save the lost.
So think above the obvious. If God had to come in the flesh, man had a need that could not be solved by mankind.
Jesus suffered a death so unimaginable to most people for something that he did not do. He voluntarily took our place in judgment. This was gruesome and Jesus knew it—but he submitted and died for us.
Now, was Christ a fool?
Did he die for nothing?
If there is no hell, or even no penalty for sin, the answer is an astounding YES!!!
His death accomplished NOTHING!
So “What happens when we die?” Was answered 2000 years ago.
awesome Q.. are u a Christian?
Nothing.
Ecclesiastes says death is like a silver cord snapping or a golden bowl breaking.
A lot happens. If you are Christs then you are Going to God in Heaven. If you are the worlds then you are on a fast drop to Hell.
Rev.6:9 NASB
When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained;
