Do you think that Calvinism tends to hinder evangelism?
Why go and spread the Gospel if God already knows who’s coming to Heaven and calls all to Him?

I’m no Calvinist, but the scriptures do say who the promise is to.
Therefore, what I would teach people to be such a person, then deliver the promise.
God’s sovereignty is the only reason we can have any hope in evangelism. In all other views, the almighty God has done everything He can to win men’s souls. If God has already done everything and men has not responded, what hope do we ever have of winning men’s souls?
If God is not sovereign, as described in Calvinism, evangelism is a futile and pointless exercise.
Because He said to. If that’s not enough for you then you need to get over yourself.
two out of three prominent figures of the great awakening were calvinists
The Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing of the word of God therefore those who accept him have come to know him through evangelism. Showing that evangelism is even more important for those who are to be saved cause we don’t know who they are so we evangelise to all in the hopes that those who hear will listen and repent.
We aren’t all knowing so who is promised heaven is beyond us. That’s why we preach the Gospel to everyone without being all knowing. Only God knows. So no, Calvinism does not hinder evangelism. Stop trying to be all knowing because you cant be all knowing so humble yourself to that truth and preach the Gospel.
I don’t know who the choose are. Preach the gospel to everyone
I’ve seen it happen
Gregory Taylor Watson because preaching the Gospel is the means by which God has chosen to call his elect.
“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”
Yes it can and logically it does as the question assumes but not necessarily.
It empowers evangelism. It’s not of us who run or them who will, but of God who shows mercy.
Why does the Bible call preaching “foolishness?” It’s like the mud that Jesus puts in the blind man’s eyes to make him see. Was there power in the mud? No. Could he have healed him without it? Yes. That was simply the means that he chose to do that healing work. God chose to work through the foolishness of our preaching. So we’d better do it.
5 point calvinism is cultish heresy and should be rejected
CalvinistGod is just a big puppet master and He wants you to engage in trivial pursuits.
God foreknew we would choose Him.
He elected us on the basis that He knew we would choose Him. This has to be true, because He’s all knowing.
Simply by creating those he foreknew, he predestined us. If He knows what we will choose, the very act of creating us is predestiny.
God’s Spirit calls us to repentance. Without this call, we cannot choose Him.
God commands and demands that we make a choice. Ho commands and demands that we believe, receive, repent and confess Him as Lord. This is still fully grace, because we don’t deserve it, and zero works, because we’re doing nothing to earn it. It’s a heart choice, it’s a surrender in our heart to His call.
But people were never locked in hopelessness. They always had a choice, buy they were always going to choose self. God foreknew it. That’s why He never called them. That’s why Jonah sent only one missionary to only one generation of Ninevite Assyrians, some of the most ruthless people on the planet. Why did God call them to repentance. Why did he send a missionary to such an evil people. Because THAT was the generation that was going to repent. That was the ones God foreknew. Not their grandfathers long dead, not their grandsons not yet born, but THAT generation. God knew they would choose to answer the call and repent. God sent the preacher and called the people BECAUSE he knew.
These atheists hear the 5 point Calvinism gospel, a false gospel, a man-made invention of Calvin, and they realize that they don’t fit the framework. They say I’ll wait until I feel God calling me, I’ll wait until they can’t help but come to Christ.
Actually, these atheists are correct, not to Scripture, no, but according to Calvinist teaching. The atheist hears the Calvinist and rejects the Gospel and says grace is irresistible, yet I resist, so Im not elect. He says I do not feel called, so I will wait until I feel called to seek God. These atheists know your own teaching better than you do.
HOW COME CALVINISM HINDERS EVANGELISM
Because we have been commanded to by our Lord and Savior:
“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you…’” ~Matthew 28:18-20a
And who am I to question God.
Deonte Walters
You have a good point. Evangelism is of no significance if each one has its destiny set already. I don’t want to presume that a person who wouldn’t accept at first hearing of the preaching of the gospel that he is destined already to be condemned. I think everyone must be given opportunity and a chance to let the gospel to germinate in each one’s heart.
My feeling exactly
