Does distance exist in heaven? Or is it nonexistent because of the lack of time?

I would say yes. Dimensions are given in Revelation.

Your physics need adjustment. Consider this about “time.”
Succession of events
is a permanent distinction between Creator and created.

There’s a crystal sea… I know that. And I heard that where gravity is so strong time stops, and water is solid.
But crystal MIGHT mean clear.
I’m hoping God is like infinitely gravitational so I’m right!?
Haven’t you seen/heard about crystals in space having to do with an amount of gravity?

That is an interesting question I’ve pondered myself. If time follows the same rules as it does in our dimension then there is some possible answers. Again these are only hypothetical. The only real way to know for sure is when you get there. As for now we can only think three deminsional.
Time is measured by distance light travels i.e. light year. By the time light hits the earth it’s already several minutes old. If this holds true in the realm of heaven, and there is no sun there and God is the light like revelation says. Then if you are in his presence then you are at the source of the light, it takes no time to travel to you as you are at the source. Theoretically time wouldn’t exist.
Another plausible idea is, we ourselves will receive glorified supernatural bodies. We know the glorified body of Christ did not adhere to natural laws here. He passed through a shut door. So he defied a law of matter. The Bible says we will be like him. Angelic beings always have a brightness as if they themselves are lights. We know the name of Lucifer means light bearer. It’s possible that they can travel the speed of light. If you was to travel at light speed then likewise time stands still. We know we will not be bound by 3 dimensional laws, so why couldn’t a higher deminsional being travel at light speed?
Again thought provoking question, bottom line no one really knows, or could understand anyway as we are 3 deminsional beings. Who knows what laws govern higher deminsions except the ones living in it. -
i think heaven exists outside our universe so we cant apply our laws and understanding. i think its beyond what we can comprehend on earth.
-
What is heaven ?
-
Isaiah 66:1
-
Time (Genesis 1:3-5) and distance (Genesis 1:1) our Lord God created for our sake. They are NOT applicable to Him (Isaiah 66:1).
-
Distance takes time to cover on earth !!
Not in heaven .
You just think and you go from point A to BOnly on 3rd heaven .
Might be on 2nd – not sure.But 3rd defo

It is just my opinion, but I believe that it is not a place in the universe, so outside of space/time. Time and space are not universal, they are “”local” phenomena.
-
What makes you think there is no time?
-
What does the word exist means to u? It is philosophical term
-
What’s the use of this Q. ?
-
Gods ways are far and above and beyond our ways. Science as we understand it doesn’t limit Him. What’s impossible to us is possible with Him !
-
Revelation 10:6 Eternity is eternity.
-
What’s distance got to do with anything? That’s not a important matter
-
God is limited by neither space nor time. He is the Creator of both. He limits them.
-
Moving around in Heaven will feel effortless. Distance is no impediment.
-
Heaven is timeless and spaceless.
-
No one knows, but… I think distance will still be there. However, I believe we will teleport anywhere we want so distance won’t really matter.
-
As long as temple is there in heaven distance mathod should be applicable.
-
That’s an interesting question. What does the Bible tell us? Heaven is described especially in Revelation. It has space, depth and is populated. What about time? Scripture talks of God as the God of NOW. No past , no future, just now. God, and therefore his realm exist in the NOW. We are time linear creatures so we struggle to grasp a condition beyond time constrained existence. If time were like a blanket which runs from one end to the other and I balled it all up into a small ball, how would you traverse time? You wouldn’t. You would be in all time at once.
-
Where is timelessness referenced?
-
Is Jesus limited by distance?
We will be like Christ.
From what I can tell, The further away from Christ you are in the kingdom, the less privilege you have.
Everyone wants to be next to Christ there.
-
I think the book of Revelations gives the dimensions of heaven.
-
Whether you’re talking about where God is now or the new creation, there is definitely space. In heaven right now, John experienced a huge distance between God and himself before the return of Jesus. Also, there will be space in the new creation where there will be buildings, roads, vineyards, gardens, and rivers.
-
We simply don’t. Know enough to understand since we are creature of this 4dementional universe but scripultues say we will be changed to live with God.

Sure

Heaven (literally ‘the sky’) is the place where God dwells. It is a location (either physical or spiritual) reserved as the afterlife in many religions, especially the Abrahamic faiths.
Christianity teaches that God’s Kingdom refers to more than merely a state of mind or heart. The Kingdom of God as taught by The Bible, is an actual Kingdom, or government set up by Jehovah in Heaven, that will rule over the Earth after removing all current Kingdoms or Governments at Armageddon, which they teach as the meaining of Bible verses such as (Daniel 2:44). Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ is the King of this Kingdom and as such has had all authority in heaven and on earth delegated to him by his God and Father Jehovah which they teach is what Jesus meant at (Matthew 28:18). They teach that only Jehovah God himself has more authority then Jesus Christ and they draw this belife from Bible verses such as (1 Corinthians 15:27-28)
The Kingdom of God, to Christians, is made up of 144,000 other Kings which belive are numbered at (Revelation 7:4) and also at (Revelation 14:1) as Spiritual Israel and that these rule with Jesus, but under his direct control, and are the only humans that will take part in a very special resurrection known as the First Resurrection, of which those raised cannot die, as they are raised as spirit creatures and ascend to Heaven to rule as Kings. They base this belief on their interpretation of Bible verses such as (Revelatio 20:4-5). Christians believe that God’s Kingdom began ruling in the year 1914, which they arrive at by using what is termed as Reliable Bible Chronology.
Christians believe that since 1914 the world has seen the most destructive Wars, diseases, food shortages and natural disasters over any other period in human history because Satan the Devil was thrown from Heaven to the Earth in that year. They believe that this made Satan very angry and since then “Woe” has been on the earth. They use (Revelation 12:7-8,12) to support this, as well as teach that Satans being cast to the Earth is the reason for the Great Tribulation spoken of by Jesus and the Prophet Daniel in the Bible at (Daniel 12:1) and also (Matthew 22:21-22).
Christianity teaches that the sons of Israel, or biological Jews, were initially given the exclusive privilege of being the only people selected to rule as Kings in The Kingdom of God, which they teach is the meaning of (Exodus 19:5-6), but that they lost this privilege by breaking Gods covenant and killing the Messiah upon his arrival which they teach as the meaning of Jesus words at (Matthew 8:12). They teach that gentiles, or Non-Jewish people, are now being chosen to fill those same Kingly positions as Spiritual Israel Via the New covenant which they teach is the meaning of (Romans 9:6), and not biological Israel via the Law Covenant. The Bible also support this belief with scriptures such as (Matthew 21:43) and also (Luke 20:9-19).
The Kingdom of God, as taught by The Bible, will destroy and replace all existing kingdoms and governments during Armageddon, and rule the earth from heaven for one thousand years, which they teach is the meaning of Bible verses like (Daniel 2:44) and (Revelation 20:6). They believe it will create the paradise on earth that Adam and Eve lost in the Garden of Eden, Which they teach is described in the Bible at (Psalms 37:29) and spoken of by Jesus at (Matthew 5:5) as well as John at (Revelation 21:1-4). During this thousand-year reign, they teach that all righteous and unrighteous humans will be resurrected from the dead in perfect human bodies. Christianity teaches that this is the “Second Resurrection”, and only occurs during total Kingdom rule. They teach that these ones can die again if their deeds, during the thousand years, are not in line with Gods rule, which they teach is John’s meaning at (Revelation 20:13).
Christianity teaches that Satan the Devil will be imprisoned during this one thousand-year reign, and unable to influence humans in any way under the Kingdoms rule, which they teach is the meaning of (Revelation 20:1-2). They teach that All human beings that do not submit fully to the Kingdom of God during this thousand-year reign of Christ will die before the thousand years is over which they take (Isaiah 17:1,20) to mean. This Christianity teaches is the “Second Death”, from which there is no resurrection, which they teach is the meaning of (Revelation 20:14).
Christianity teaches that after the last rebellious humans, and Satan are destroyed that Jehovah and his Kingdom will rule forever over a perfect human race, on a paradise earth completely free from sin, death, and any wicked influences whatsoever. It will not be passed on to anyone as no one will grow old and die in heaven or on earth.
Christianity teaches that the Kingdom of God is the central theme of the entire Bible, Jesus message while on earth, and their own door to door preaching. They teach that their door to door preaching is a major “Sign of the End” before the Kingdom brings to an end this worlds system of governments. In this way, they believe, Gods Will shall be done in Heaven and also on the Earth and further make Gods name, Jehovah ,Holy, or sanctified.
Judaism focuses much less on the nature and method of entering heaven, for which the Old Testament says little, but emphasizes good deeds (mitzvot) on this earth. Even Orthodox Jews rarely discuss the afterlife which is seen as unimportant, instead putting more emphasis on Philosophy, Mysticism, and especially Ethics.

God is omnipresent. You cannot be any closer or further to Him than you are now.
-
I say yes, it does. But if you want to be somewhere else you can just be there. So if you want to travel through space, you can. If you want to be at your destination right now, you can.
-
Who said there was no time
-
“we know in part” –> I Corinthians 13:1-13
-
Distance and time both exist in the new heaven and the new earth. However, just like our resurrected bodies are transformed, so will time and distance.

What difference does it make God has it all worked out

Check out the book “HEAVEN” by Randy Alcorn, he has a chapter dedicated to travel, etc.
I believe.
Great book. -
Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. 17Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. 18The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. Revelation 21

i dont think time exists period anywhere

The laws of physics are different in heaven, no more Newton and Einstein.

That’s a definite maybe.

I have an opinion.. Genesis starts with God saying “light be”. Since the sun, moon and stars are not created until later what is this light? Some say it’s God’s light. But that theory then bespeaks of God not being light until he speaks it. So I reject it. I believe that we need to translate the word light correctly. The Hebrew word also means illumination. The connotation on revelation wisdom. I propose that the first thing God did was speak all governing laws for this universe into existence. After which he started to speak each part of the universe into existence based on his governing laws. To make a long story short.. The laws that we take for granted are not necessarily in heaven.
