Does the Old Testament ever talk about heaven or hell? From reading the Old Testament it seems like it takes an annihilationist perspective.

Yes, sheol and Hell are mentioned. The heavens too

Jesus, who mentioned hell more than anyone, actually quotes the old testament when talking about it, ‘their worm dyeth not’ is from isaiah for example

Job and David mentions hell. Job says there the worms would eat me, and David said about his lovechild, someday I’ll go to him but he can never come to me.

God’s love and God’s judgment are two sides of the same coin. Fire can burn. And fire can give warmth and comfort. It all depends on where we stand in relationship to the flame. Both Testaments reflect this truth-each in its own way.

David throughout the Psalms speaks of “the pit”. And “dwelling in the house of the Lord forever”
