“So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.”
―Matthew 14:29 (NLT)
Look for the risks, that’s where the opportunities are.
No risks, no gains.
No risks, no progress.
No risks, no life.
I know this is counterintuitive. What we want is everything we want with no risk. But life just doesn’t work that way.
Of course I’m not advising you to be foolhardy and jump in where angels fear to tread. But I am encouraging you to put skin in the game. Put yourself out there. Dare to do something that, if successful, will be worth the potential loss.
The ONE THING for today: What separates the best from the rest is that the best wisely manage risk: learning from their failures, and leveraging their successes to advance towards the next risky and exhilarating chapter of God’s plan for their life.
