ImageWhen you look at the Palm Islands  in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, it’s easy to marvel at what we see; they are artificial islands constructed from sand dredged from the bottom of the Persian Gulf.

HOWEVER, when I see these islands in this view I think of John 15. When Jesus was speaking and explaining how the VINE and branches are maintained, manicured, purged and (most importantly) bring forth fruit. Jesus went on to say in verse 11..

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
He told us this so that we may be the branch that is fruitful and to remind us that every branch that is pruned will not die. Exactly the opposite will happen, you prune in order to obtain more fruit in the coming harvest season.
We WANT God (gardener) to position us to be ready when the Harvest comes. That we wouldn’t be found as the branch that he would sever from the vine, we know that apart from God, we can do nothing.

Be of good cheer, don’t stop reading go on to read John 15:16-17
16 You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit,
so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. 17 This is my command: Love each other.

Get out there and
let’s love them into the Harvest,
love them into the family,
make sure we produce long lasting fruit.
It’s about more than YOU, it’s about HIM!
