77th International General Assembly of the Church of God
In just a few weeks, we will gather in Orlando for the 77th International General Assembly of the Church of God. Not only are we expecting anointed worship and preaching, but we will have some thirty items to address during the General Council business sessions, as well as additional motions and resolutions that come from the floor. So, it looks to be a busy week of fellowship, prayer, worship, and business.
To prepare for the business sessions, attached is the 77th International General Council FINISH Commitment Agenda which includes the schedule. In addition, the “Further Study” report on the meaning and usage of the term “Bishop” is also being made available at this time.
With only the Council of Eighteen elections to be held, we anticipate plenty of time for the International General Council to debate all the issues to come before the body.
While our formal time of prayer for the General Assembly has come to an end, we are hopeful that you are continuing to pray that God will guide and direct every decision made by the General Council and the General Assembly. We sincerely ask that you prayerfully consider each item on the attached FINISH Commitment Agenda. In addition, we have set aside three special sessions of prayer prior to the beginning of each day on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Prayer time will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the main venue. We have made these prayer sessions part of the official schedule and hope you will give them priority and participate with us daily.
We look forward to seeing you in Orlando on July 30 as we work together to FINISH the Great Commission in the Spirit and Power of Pentecost.
